Checking in! My GPA is well below the 25th percentile so I doubt this is going to happen. But-- we'll see how this goes!

I totally wouldn't worry! They're probably going to send out ED decisions soon, and might just be busy with that. Remember, their app deadline was like March last I checked, so it's still very, very early.april_ludgate wrote:I submitted in the beginning of November and have been UR1 since 11/20. Since then radio silence. That doesn't mean anything right? It's early? Sigh
Same, UR3 thoughAlmostSplitter wrote:ED applicant here: just went UR2 today! Good luck everyone
Me too! I fear it's not a good sign for me though because I haven't interviewed.BL2017 wrote:Same, UR3 thoughAlmostSplitter wrote:ED applicant here: just went UR2 today! Good luck everyone
I haven't interviewed either! I wonder if any ED applicants have.toughTulip wrote:Me too! I fear it's not a good sign for me though because I haven't interviewed.BL2017 wrote:Same, UR3 thoughAlmostSplitter wrote:ED applicant here: just went UR2 today! Good luck everyone
"$/no $" as in determining whether to give a full-ride scholarship? Or would that apply to smaller 30k-75k dollar grants as well?AlmostSplitter wrote:Oops! I meant UR3. Interviewed on Dec. 4, but I wouldn't worry if you didn't interview: from what I've seen, interviews principally matter for liminal cases (like, borderline admit/waitlist or $/no $). Also maybe for ED applicants to gauge genuine interest?
I'm a current UChicago grad student and I applied ED. Went under R3 today and have not received an invitation to interview.BL2017 wrote:I haven't interviewed either! in past years, UR4 hinted that a decision was approaching...does this mean we likely won't hear this week?Mabaci wrote:I'm a current UChicago grad student and I applied ED. If you look at LSN, decisions have come the week before Christmas for ED applicants the past 3 cycles. My guess would be this week based on that.profdogwalker wrote:in past years, UR4 hinted that a decision was approaching...does this mean we likely won't hear this week?Mabaci wrote:I'm a current UChicago grad student and I applied ED. Wait, really??? I thought it was like JS1s and interviews are a necessary prerequisite to an acceptance? I think I asked this before here (not sure if this or Columbia) and I don't think I got a response lolAlmostSplitter wrote:Oops! I meant UR3. For what its worth this is also my understanding.38981928 wrote:Wait, really??? I thought it was like JS1s and interviews are a necessary prerequisite to an acceptance? What AlmostSplitter wrote sounds like Columbia. From what I remember interviews are a prerequisite for Chicago.TastyMango wrote:For what its worth this is also my understanding.38981928 wrote:Wait, really???
