Oops! I meant UR3. Interviewed on Dec. 4, but I wouldn't worry if you didn't interview: from what I've seen, interviews principally matter for liminal cases (like, borderline admit/waitlist or $/no $). Also maybe for ED applicants to gauge genuine interest?

Wait, really??? I thought it was like JS1s and interviews are a necessary prerequisite to an acceptance? I think I asked this before here (not sure if this or Columbia) and I don't think I got a response lol

For what its worth this is also my understanding.

What AlmostSplitter wrote sounds like Columbia. From what I remember interviews are a prerequisite for Chicago.

The website seems to very, very heavily imply that an interview happens before acceptance, though it doesn't go as far as to state that specifically, so there may be some outliers where it doesn't happen.

Has anyone seen a result here or on LSN with someone being accepted without any interview?

(Just want to add that I'm not posting this so those without interviews to give up hope--it's still very early, from what I understand!)

Is this interview like UVA where once you've got it you're basically in, more like Harvard where it's a good sign but there are still cuts to survive, or more like Northwestern where they offer an interview to almost everybody?

The website says it's considered as part of your application. My assuming is that different people review for each round.

I'm like 95% sure I read something (on this website, maybe?) that gave me the impression that they accept about 75% of the people interviewed.

I just got the request today; I'm RD, K-JD, submitted around 10/20ish and had been UR1 since 10/31.

Not at all! Similar to others - RD, submitted mid-October and went complete within a few days, UR1 was 11/6.

Me too! I fear it's not a good sign for me though because I haven't interviewed.

I haven't interviewed either! I wonder if any ED applicants have.

I also went UR3 on 12/18 after interviewing. I'm ED. Any thoughts on what this means?
