The website seems to very, very heavily imply that an interview happens before acceptance, though it doesn't go as far as to state that specifically, so there may be some outliers where it doesn't happen.feralflamingo wrote:What AlmostSplitter wrote sounds like Columbia. I thought it was like JS1s and interviews are a necessary prerequisite to an acceptance? I think I asked this before here (not sure if this or Columbia) and I don't think I got a response lolAlmostSplitter wrote:Oops! I meant UR3. Interviewed on Dec. 4, but I wouldn't worry if you didn't interview: from what I've seen, interviews principally matter for liminal cases (like, borderline admit/waitlist or $/no $). Also maybe for ED applicants to gauge genuine interest?
Has anyone seen a result here or on LSN with someone being accepted without any interview?
(Just want to add that I'm not posting this so those without interviews to give up hope--it's still very early, from what I understand!)
