Also had my interview yesterday, updated to 1/4, and then updated again to 1/5... so you're definitely not alone in that! I assumed it was UR3, and I also figured it might be because the interview was scheduled before the holidays and might've happened sooner had the initial email not been sent out right before them.justsocurious wrote:They were all admittedHstrat wrote:3.5/177. What you're describing isn't unprecedented - a few people reported the same thing last year

Wow that's amazing! This is probably a stretch but do you remember where you saw that? I'll probably sift through last year's Chicago thread for it.justsocurious wrote:They were all admittedHstrat wrote:3.5/177. Yeah I had the same thought. Can I ask your stats?MonicaYoung_LOL wrote: Also had my interview yesterday, updated to 1/4, and then updated again to 1/5... so you're definitely not alone in that! The posts were made between December 20th and January 10th in the c/o 2020 thread. I came across two or three people who mentioned the same UR2/UR3 pattern we've been discussing, and found through their post history that they were all admitted (one might've been in the c/o 2019 thread). I believe that all were admitted in the first RD wave as well, but I may be mistakenHstrat wrote: Wow that's amazing! This is probably a stretch but do you remember where you saw that? I'm still unsure of whether I fall into this category. I didn't bother checking my status until the week following my interview, at which point it showed a date change on the day after the Skype session. I'm not sure if UR2s ever have a one-day delay, but I'll assume the best

I checked mine 5 minutes after the interview (no idea why, that would have been an amazingly fast turnaround) and the date had already been updated to that day. Sounds like you're in the same category to me!justsocurious wrote:The posts were made between December 20th and January 10th in the c/o 2020 thread. Just a heads up that when I had my Chicago interview, I was told that they are trying to get decisions out "sooner rather than later" and that I should definitely hear by the end of the month. Not sure if that timeline applies to everyone who interviewed, but I wouldn't expect any waves these next 2 weeks.

Waves seem to be spaced far apart. From what I can tell, the 1st post-break interview invite wave last year wasn't til like the 18th or something! Also god is realsharris2017 wrote:Complete very early November. Can I expect an interview request soon?

Finished my interview today and was told my decision will most likely come at the end of the month.
Sitting tight until then. Goodluck, everyone!

When are we expecting UR4s to come out? Adcomms have been saying there will be a wave by the end of the month, and history says we need a UR4 wave first.

Is there any hope of another interview wave before the first admissions wave? Based on the last set of people interviewed, they only got up to people who went complete / UR a week before me

Re: UChicago c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Did anyone else’s interviewer hint at a mid-January first wave of admissions? That’s the idea I got.. but now I’m reading late-January from other posters. Interviewed early December btw, so maybe they’ve shifted the timeline
