What seems to be the turn around from ur1 -> interview?
I’m trying to gauge how long people have waited this cycle.

Does a second date change without an interview mean anything? I went "UR2" yesterday after sitting UR1 since early November, without an interview request. I thought that an interview was required to progress forward?

Could be UR1.5, as mentioned here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=242042TheMule wrote:Does a second date change without an interview mean anything? That could be the case - is there any idea what that stage is? Is it re-review or purgatory?LSATuration wrote:Could be UR1.5, as mentioned here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=242042TheMule wrote:Does a second date change without an interview mean anything? I had a date change today too from UR1 with no interview... I can't tell if that's a bad sign??LSATuration wrote:Could be UR1.5, as mentioned here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=242042TheMule wrote:Does a second date change without an interview mean anything? Had my interview yesterday, and the date updated afterwards to 1/4; I figured that was UR2. I just checked again today and it says 1/5. Is that UR3...? Seems like too quick of a progression, it's probably UR2 again

I’ve had the same experience - I wrote it down in my log as UR3(?). Doubt it really makes a big difference though, but I would love to hear back soon!Hstrat wrote:Had my interview yesterday, and the date updated afterwards to 1/4; I figured that was UR2. FWIW, the interviewer told me that their first wave of regular decisions will be at the end of January. For some reason it's still a part of my daily status checker rounds, though...chrysippusofsoli wrote:I’ve had the same experience - I wrote it down in my log as UR3(?). Looks like I'm UR3 as well. When I did my interview Skype didn't work so we did it over the phone.. Is that going to hurt my chances? I'm a borderline candidate. I thought it went really well other than that.

Re: UChicago c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Don't see how it could. Skype only works about 2/3 of the time under the best of circumstances, and your aptitude for a legal career has no impact on that fraction. Congrats on having a good interview!blackmamba8 wrote:Looks like I'm UR3 as well. When I did my interview Skype didn't work so we did it over the phone.. Is that going to hurt my chances? Where do your stats fall relative to medians? When did you your applications go complete?chrysippusofsoli wrote:I’ve had the same experience - I wrote it down in my log as UR3(?). What you're describing isn't unprecedented - a few people reported the same thing last year

Mine has been changing a lot too. I choose to believe it’s a sign of positive movement? I wouldn't worry too much with your stats and your softs - it seems like a no-brainer for Chicago to admit you (I believe they are the only school that asks about a PhD), and I'm sure you'll get at least one of YSH too!Bush v. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I feel like I’ve lost all perspective about Chicago in particular. Like if they passed, I would buy a Snuggie and give up on life.chrysippusofsoli wrote:I wouldn't worry too much with your stats and your softs - it seems like a no-brainer for Chicago to admit you (I believe they are the only school that asks about a PhD), and I'm sure you'll get at least one of YSH too!Bush v.
