I'd like to keep a future PhD/Undergrad Academia in the realm of possibility and this could really keep that door open with no additional time or $$.
Specifically legal history? Can you share the link where you found this? This sounds super awesome!

I think Jimmy refers to this DD, which is a MA in history but you can probably set the entire curriculum on legal history.
This is indeed very interesting, and I'd seriously consider it if admitted to UVA, even though I'm more interested in govt/IR/MPP double degrees, or even better the MA at JHU (I am very young and I'd like to study for the next 5 years)... The latter is probably my first choice overall!
But the connections to academia that the history MA could favor are actually attractives!

Yeah that's it. According to the guy at the forum it's very useful for clerk gunners, and you don't have to start the MA until second semester of 2L so OCI isn't affected at all. UVA is far and away my #1 now.

Sent a thank you email to the Director of Admissions for talking with me at the forum and asked for a waiver, and they'll be sending one to everyone who signed their sheet Saturday. So if you didn't attend the forum it might not be too early to ask for one.

This is some very good news to hear... I'll send a request to 20-25 schools the next week
What information should you give? Numbers?

In the case for those who signed up at the forum, they are giving them out to everyone regardless of numbers. But I think the conventional wisdom when requesting by email is to send your GPA/LSAT.

Also, while UVA seems to be giving them out already the rest of the T13 were not giving any out at the forum, so you might want to hold off until late August for other schools. Some even specifically said they weren't planning on giving any out until next month. I did have success with Vandy, WUSTL and UCLA as far as T20 schools go, so an email to them now is probably a good idea.

Just wanted to pop in- was admitted to UVA last cycle but sadly had to withdraw for personal reasons. Amazing school though, am hoping to reapply- their admissions folks are absolutely fantastic. Easily top three for schools I applied to, just super nice people. Don't freak out if you get asked to interview, they're really great people. Beautiful campus too, and the students I met were super nice and helpful.

Which email did you send your GULC request to?

Checking in! What's up everybody? I got to talk with Cordel at the DC Forum. We had a few good laughs and that guy was generally just awesome to be around. Such a good demeanor about him.

Do you just send your LSAT, GPA, and LSAC ID mixed into a few lines of text?

Am I likely to not get one if my numbers are below median? I was gonna wait to ask for waivers from MVPD until I got my september score back, but was gonna start requesting waivers from UT and below.

Cordel was awesome! Probably the most engaged person at the forum. I even went back to the UVA table after my first visit to ask him more questions.

What do you need in order to request a fee waiver from a school?

LSAC fees have gotten out of control. 200% increase in CAS report fees, and 50% for CAS itself.

I meant since the article linked in the post above mine. But I'll go ahead and be thankful for them not increasing this year lol
