Thanks! It actually wasn't a full blown interview, since I had already met Dean Faulk we had a 10 minute phone conversation where he asked me a couple questions then admitted me. It was very low key and relaxed.InterLaw wrote:Slippin' Jimmy wrote:In!!!!

I was admitted last year, but decided to withdraw all my applications and retake for a better LSAT (because I knew I could do better).rachelac wrote: Did both of you talk to them at forums or are they just like this for everyone this week??
They didn't need to interview me or anything this year because of conversations we'd had in the past.

Congrats to all admitted so far! I was admitted last year but unable to attend- really hoping to reapply. UVA adcomms are truly fantastic, nothing but good things to say about them. I'd definitely encourage people to visit too, especially if you're a city applicant like me- I was a bit worried about a more rural environment but Charlottesville is a beautiful town.

Just to let you guys know... Getting an interview is a very, very good sign. It's not a 100% guarantee that you'll be accepted, but most people that get the interview are accepted.
I'm a 1L right now so if you guys have questions feel free to PM me or just quote me and I can answer

When did you get your scholarship notification? From lurking TLS it seems like its pretty random, with some people getting told right away and others not finding out until February/March.RParadela wrote:Just to let you guys know... Re: UVA c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I also was admitted last year and did not end up enrolling. I deferred and will be starting Fall 2018. In case it helps anyone, my timeline looked like:
12/16 - Submitted application
1/17 - Received invitation for phone interview
1/19 - Completed quick (10 minute) phone interview
1/20 - Admitted
My scholarship offer was included in my admission letter. Splitter: 3.23 GPA + 175 LSAT + nontraditional student with some diversity factors. I did not apply ED.

It didn't seem like there was a set date to get scholly info. I applied in January, was accepted at the beginning of February, and recieved my scholly info with my acceptance package a few days later. I know that there is a date (I believe in March) where if you don't have any information regarding scholarships, you aren't getting oneSlippin' Jimmy wrote:When did you get your scholarship notification? I'll be visiting early next week, planning on sitting in on a class as well as taking the tour. Really looking forward to checking the town out!

Re: UVA c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Waiting to see what their scholly offer is, if any. Still haven't received my official letter (I'm suspecting that the hurricane delayed a bunch of mail) which may or may not have my scholly in it. UVA is definitely my #1 choice, with Duke as a close 2nd but I don't think I could attend either at sticker. After that things drop off pretty drastically as far as my preference goes.twiix wrote:did you already accept their offer? or are you playing the field ?Slippin' Jimmy wrote:I'll be visiting early next week, planning on sitting in on a class as well as taking the tour.
