Under Review.... I also did a stupid and bad mistake in my application (activities box was incomplete and I forgot it), but I will be either dinged or interviewed, so I'll just wait for news from them...
Not very confident, but hell if I'd love getting into UVA! Definitely top3!

So now an admissions officer suspects that the application they just pulled with an incomplete activities section came from someone who would prefer to be at one or two other schools, but would make do with UVA?InterLaw wrote:Under Review.... Re: UVA c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Oh no I didn't mean that. What I meant is that my app file is really strange, with some great points and some red flags. Add the fact that I am international... I don't think that there's a way I can be accepted without an interview by almost anyone, especially in the t14! Would you suggest a follow-up e-mail about that mistake? I mean, I figured that it wouldn't be this mistake to determine if I'm in or out, and if I'm more in than out they will interview me and I will explain.albanach wrote:So now an admissions officer suspects that the application they just pulled with an incomplete activities section came from someone who would prefer to be at one or two other schools, but would make do with UVA?InterLaw wrote:Under Review.... I’m gonna be of no use to your original comment but I totally creeped your post history and saw you’re from the UK and now I’m reading all your posts with a British accent in my head.InterLaw wrote: Add the fact that I am international...
Can’t you email them and say I wanted to add more stuff? Seems like it’s better to rectify your mistake then leave it out all together and let the adcomms speculate.

Had my interview this morning and got accepted at the end - I'm pumped. UVA is at or around the top of my list.

Received additional information from UVA today (post-acceptance) and the letter discussed merit aid awards being determined in February. Should I take this to mean I'm not in consideration for something like a Dillard? Or do we know if anyone has received this letter and subsequently received scholarship sooner than that timeline?

In years past some people get their Dillard notification right away while others get it later. Out of the second group some get it very soon after being admitted while some have to wait months.TheDuke0fEarl wrote:Received additional information from UVA today (post-acceptance) and the letter discussed merit aid awards being determined in February. Last cycle most people found out about their Dillards in the interview from what was reported in the thread. What are you numbers and we can probably answer that questionTheDuke0fEarl wrote:Received additional information from UVA today (post-acceptance) and the letter discussed merit aid awards being determined in February. Those who have heard back: when did you submit your applications - I was a couple days after the first and have been UR2 since the 11th. Wondering if I should worry.

For people who’ve gotten admitted or have been interviewed (not on the same day), how many times did your status change before your interview request?
