I'm hoping that once they process all the DC Cocktail people (those lucky dogs!) they will start doing phone interviews again and we'll see some movement? Fingers crossed anyway.

Not trying to rub it in at all, just agreeing that I am a lucky dog. I can't believe I got to drink free beer and make dumb jokes for a few hours instead of have an interview.Olive Juice wrote:Saaaaaame.usaorbust wrote:Same UR1 date and still UR 1mistakepluskeleven wrote:Same here! Good luck! I'm sure you'll hear from them now that their travel season is over!!!

Also in via tracker (and also one of the DC dogs). Complete 10/24.

Sometimes it'll come in a letter with your acceptance, otherwise in 2018.evanrn wrote:For those accepted today, any idea when scholly info will come?

Maybe that's how I'll justify paying sticker to myself.pancakes3 wrote:https://wtop.com/virginia/2017/12/livin ... l/slide/1/

Nope, not for me. Status Tracker has been the only trace of acceptance.Revelator 12 wrote:Any of today's admits get any notification besides Status Tracker yet?

Went to uva undergrad... if you pay $930 rent you are doing it wrong. Can easily get a nice room for 500/mo if you have apartment/housemates!ilpsm wrote:i don't even know what i would do with that extra money if i paid 930. maybe save up for one bitcoin.tmcauliffe96 wrote:Living in NY, $930-a-month rent sounds like a DREAM lolilpsm wrote:i'm weak. and here i thought COL in charlottesville (at least compared to manhattan) was a big draw of uvapancakes3 wrote:https://wtop.com/virginia/2017/12/livin ... l/slide/1/

Re: UVA c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I got this phone call about a week ago. I thought it was UVA so I called back and a very pleasant lady picked up and all I heard was "admissions office." I let out this excited squeal and she says "Do you want to hear about our program?" Me: "Sorry, which law school is this?" Her: "Liberty." Me: "No thank you!!!!"tmcauliffe96 wrote:Yup, still haven't recovered lolmwells56 wrote:Got the same phone call. Long story short, Liberty Law is blocked from calling me.

I was also at the D.C. reception, and thought it went very well (was on cloud nine afterwards!) but radio silence. It honestly has broken my heart to see everyone else who wasn't already admitted at the reception get in - I knew my numbers were lower but allowed myself to get my hopes up. I am currently drafting an additional essay (didn't do a Why UVA because I thought top schools didn't want them) to try and persuade them. Anything I can do past that? Is visiting a lost cause? Super congratulations to everyone admitted, I hope to claw my way there somehow and join you in fall!

A Why UVA? Could set you over. I submitted one a week after submitting my app - I thought the same thing as you re: top schools, but caved and drafted a quick one-pager. Visiting would def. show interest and honestly if you’re in DC you may as well. You might also just have to wait a little longer for your admit - you never know where you were in the admissions process when you got the invite. I’d heard nothing for exactly a month prior to getting the invite.somewhereclassof2021 wrote:I was also at the D.C. reception, and thought it went very well (was on cloud nine afterwards!) but radio silence. I appreciate the hell out of this, thank you. I also decided on a simple one-pager, very brief, regular kind of Why UVA but added in a bit about the reception. I will definitely be visiting as well, there is no reason not to. I have a bunch of great offers but all I want is UVA lolRevelator 12 wrote:A Why UVA? Could set you over. Went to a UVA dinner wednesday, sent a thank-you email yesterday, and received a reply a few hours later saying I was in with a Dillard!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
