Has anyone who went UR1 in January gone UR2 or DLS/accepted yet (especially RTK/ scholarship applicants)?

UR1 second week of January, UR2 last week, and DLS today. Not scholarship though!

UR1 since second week of December and still haven't heard anything. Should I at least be going UR2 soon?

UR2 purgatory without a single hold tight email in my inbox. The silence is almost disorienting.

Went DLS this morning, just got my call! Hold on tight to everyone waiting, the longer this cycle goes, the less rhyme or reason I can find in it. Now waiting for a letter and hopefully a little $.

Exactly the same boat here. Sort of wishing my last name was Kushner.

I think I’m going to stop checking my status checker for NYU until someone reports going UR3 to protect my sanity

Question for everyone. I'm still waiting and I applied for RTK.

I was reviewing my RTK essay for some pieces I want to use for a scholarship essay for another school. I found a pretty glaring type o. I'm wondering, if I get accepted in time to get reviewed for RTK, if I can send in a revised copy of my essay or is it pretty much a lost cause at this point?

Thanks

Same here :(. Wondering the same thing.

Also, how does it work...would you get accepted and then find out about scholarship interview offers later? Or does that happen all at the same time? And if you aren't going to be considered for a scholarship, do they hold your application? I applied in late December and am still UR1.

Does anyone have thoughts on sending updated application materials after UR1? I started a new job recently in the legal field, so it is relevant to my application, but I'm not sure if its worth it to bother them by sending an updated resume, or if I should wait it out. NYU doesn't seem to have any instructions or comments on their website about this. Thoughts?

The general consensus seems to be that it is a good idea to send updated materials, especially if it is relevant and might help your cause.

Kind of unrelated since it's a different school, but in my interview with Dean Cornblatt at Georgetown yesterday he said he doesn't hold typos against people if they follow up with an email saying they're sorry and they made a little mistake. He said it looks a lot better to show you care enough to read things after you've sent them in. Hope that helps!

Thanks! That's good feedback to hear. If I get in before RTK review is over I'll probably send in a revised essay.

Would Adcoms hold it against me if, through my personal statement, they can tell that I would be a good candidate for a scholarship like RTK or Anbryce, but I neglected to apply? I intended to apply to at least one of these but kept kicking the can down the road and eventually decided to just get my app in asap.

No one will ever hold not having to give you money against you.
