Welp, I got the email and I'm still not DLS today. UR1 since 11/2. Mildly peeved. But at least I have my JS1 interview today, so I'm not too shaken.

Hey, just to add a statistic here, I am UR2 as of 12/26, did not receive an email, and did NOT receive DLS today.

I wish I had some understanding as to why so many people above both 75ths who submitted months ago have not been admitted yet.

Probably definitely for yield protection. They are accepting people who they think NYU will be their best option (best ranked acceptance). For people above both 75ths... they assume applicants are hoping for Columbia, HYS (NYU safety)... Unless maybe a Why NYU essay was included?

I'm above both 75ths for NYU with a DLS today (though that decision could be WL or ding lol but I'm trying to stay positive), but I submitted a Why NYU. Also didn't get the still reviewing email last week.

On another note, how far above both 75ths would one need to be for consideration for the Vanderbilt scholarship and other merit aid (without having applied for RTK et al)? I'm having trouble finding stats on people who've gotten it!

sorry to interrupt the stream of people who went DLS, but quick question for the more initiated: does NYU go straight from processing to UR? Like are you immediately considered under review once they process your entire file? Last Friday I was still processing, didn't check over the weekend, and now there's a UR status

UR1 is the date when your status changes to Under Com Review.

Right so I meant to ask whether it's normal that there was no "complete" status change/date. I went straight from "Processing file" to "Under Review".

i'm at or above the 75th gpa (not sure what it is down to a second decimal point) and well above the 75th lsat but wrote a why NYU so that might be it. also can't confirm i've gotten in yet tho

You didn't get the email because you're going to hear soon... it's not a code. Okay so not today's DLS wave, but either later this week or next. It's coming very soon. Much sooner than everyone else who got the email.
