Another financial aid app question... It asks about other schools. Do we actually fill that out lol (I know most people didn't in the initial app but I feel like scholarships are a different story). If yes, do we also include scholly info?

I plan to. Total honesty is imo the best way to go. If you have other schools/offers you're considering, tell them. What could it hurt?

Has anyone not yet at UR2 gotten the email? I have been UR1 since early December and not receiving emails, starting to think a ding is imminent.

I'm in the same boat as you. Above both 75ths.

Edit: I actually went UR2 on 1/19 but didn't see it until the next day.

Nope! Just went UR2 1/17. But BLAPA stands for black, Latino, and Asian Pacific Association. And I’m not any of those. So I’m wondering if it’s a generic email?

I’m Latina, I was accepted a week ago, and I got that on my status checker as well. Not sure what that means for you though, hopefully good news!

FWIW the page for this year's dinner on the NYU calendar mentions that it's for current AS WELL AS admitted students. I wouldn't say it's a done deal but definitely a good sign!

Here's the link. From my research, the LACA puts it on every year during an ASW and presents some public service award. I hope it ends up being the real deal for yall! Here's to hoping (for myself) that they only send that to public interest people!

Hey! After years of lurking I finally made an account and wanted to add a statistic --

Submitted 12/06, UR1 shortly after (forgot date), UR2 12/30, admitted 1/09. I am abroad and I found out through ASW, never got a phone call (still salty about that lol) but my mom says a packet just arrived today in the mail.

Applied for RTK and AnBryce. When do we hear about interviews? March? It seems like there's always another big thing to wait for!!

Do we know if the programmatic scholarship committees read your essays for other scholarships (like if I'm writing one for AnBryce and Latinx rights and they had similar topics, would they read both and potentially find it repetitive?) Or do we not know

do we think it's a bad idea to submit the merit-only app or inquire about that? i know i'll get next to nothing if anything in financial aid/wouldn't attend at sticker. probably overthinking this but i don't know if that gives off the wrong vibe

Wondering the same thing myself... With my parents' info, I can't imagine I'll get any need-based aid.

Admits - does the flash financial aid app work for any of you? I thought it was already available, but can't login for the life of me. Keep getting an error message.
