You're all in a great place. If you don't have a poison pill in your application you'll have plenty of options.
Ahhhhhhhem. What was your LSAT score again?????????? I think you forgot to add that part!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
yeah I was thinking this as well - someone is being bashful :D
Lol in the game of admissions, some of you are going to straight up clown on me and you know it. Which is cool with me, because I get to tell my grandkids about how I met Justice so-and-so on an internet forum.
I wouldn't underestimate the power of your LSAT score with admissions outcomes. You are a super splitter but the kind that will yield you many offers I am sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both are acceptable. For my why X to UVA last year, I mentioned the proximity to the DC market since that's what my post-LS target is. They admitted me, so I can't help but think it was fine

Idk a partial at Berkeley or UCLA is probably my ideal realistic outcome for the west coast placement and my stats

What did Cornell and Berk do to you?
Too many special snowflakes at Berk. I thought the running joke was that Cornell was the red headed stepchild of the ivies? (maybe the office just made me think that)

Checking in!

Are you writing Why X for every school? My PS is pretty much done (I'll be revisiting it on a weekly basis for edits and revisions until September and it's already in the hands of people who offered to look over it) and I'm wanting to knock out as many essays as possible.

I'm writing for every school for which I have real and convincing material. If it's half-hearted I think it hurts you more than helps.

Probably only writing for those schools I'm legit likely to attend. Last cycle I did some extra essay stuff for MVD Gtown, uChi. This cycle probably will only put stuff up for MV

Probably most of the t14 except for a couple that I'm a bit less interested in, and HYS since I'm under the impression Why X is a no no there (?).

I'm planning on writing one for UVA, Duke and Cornell.

Nope, just SLS, Chicago and Michigan, and maybe NU.

Is a Why X a good idea for SLS? It's definitely one of my #1s but idk what TLS common wisdom is on that.

I was under the impression that Why X is pretty much a no-go for HYS and even CCN, just because the reasons to go to those schools are a little obvious. They also don't really yield protect, so you're not protecting your application against that kind of scrutiny by writing one. I feel as if I've seen them associated a little with Chicago, but mostly with MVP and, somewhat generally, the rest of the T15 down through Texas/Georgetown.
