I know why schools don't want to post this info, but I wish more schools did. The information is valuable, as the success of LSN websites attest, and publishing this chart doesn't prevent a school from using their holistic approach. If anything, it can be used as evidence of that, right? I mean people here see the low yields in the upper-left quadrant and scream yield-protect, but a less cynical person could think that they are indeed looking at more things.

Even if you click and zoom in? I didn't paste at super high resolution, but you should be able to see the numbers. The UT one is at 1512x489.

Ironically, I think a lot of the school statements as to why they don't use it read like legal disclaimers. As if they are worried about lawsuits if someone with stats that give them a high probability of acceptance gets rejected.

Honestly, it's all just hand-waving. All these schools DO use GPA and LSAT to determine acceptances! It's not some big secret. Pretending it's not an overwhelming factor in deciding who to admit is silly. "Holistic" does not mean that all application components are weighted equally. They are not.

yeah. don't write one.
Can anyone provide insight regarding how NYU treats multiple scores?
clueless801 wrote:Sigh... probably going to get dinged but going to apply anyway. Did that NYU webinar just now and learned some stuff: 1) submit that LSAT addendum if you have multiple scores otherwise they’re going to average and 2) if you have a reportable score, your application is complete and it’s at their discretion to count any future scores.

Can someone who already applied explain the whole sent vs complete thing?

i mean if the school tells you explicitly to addend then addend. but if you just wanna write cause you think it'll "improve your chances" or make it look like you didnt cheat on the lsat, dont write one, especially for a fairly normal improvement of 10 poins.

Anyone here applying to Emory? I never looked at it because I was nervous it wouldn't let me come back to NYC but LST is saying 13.2% of its graduates end up going to New York, and I'm wondering if it's self selection that over 50% work in Georgia.

Maybe both? My GPA's 3.55 but my LSAT's 175.

Looks like Chicago and UVA did a second round of waivers post Sept LSAT too! Found hidden waivers on the application site so might be worth checking there for anyone who was waiting for more waivers to come through.

anyone know if you can send LOR's after submitting the application? I forgot to assign my 3rd letter for M and feel like an idiot since I added the third recommender's name in the actual application

Yup, just assign it. LSAC will send it off. I emailed ahead to admissions to let them know another LOR was coming for my file.
My status checker updated with the additional letter a few days later.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
