I just put down my dean's list awards. Left off merit scholarships since most of those were based off of high school grades.

PS I should be able to get to your PS tomorrow, been a bit busy.
Thanks mate!

My situation is actually a bit different, I think I'm gonna ask to adcoms...

Stupid question :P

Any idea what the permanent address part of the application means? Is it our true home address or the one we are living in now? My home (family's) address, address on national ID, and current address do not overlap at all--whatever Mr. Google tells me, I still cannot fathom the difference.

Anyone else reconsidering applying to Harvard because of the Chelsea Manning thing? H was never one of my top choices but now I'm tempted to skip them entirely.

Doesn't really matter but I generally put my parents address since that won't change. It's not like it has to match anything govt or otherwise

To be fair to Harvard Law, that hoopla happened at the Kennedy School. I agree that it is total trash though, but it doesn't change my opinion of HLS.

Berkley employs John Yoo, don't they? Pretty hard to find an elite US school that isn't awful in some way, I think. Though of course HLS still deserves all the condemnation in the world.

Totally unrelated but don't want to make 2 consecutive posts: Is there any point going ahead and sending in apps with current score or will they just be held til Sept. score is released anyway? Don't really think I did any better.

Is that one act really why you would skip applying to an entire school?

Checking in with a fee waiver question: I'm not currently signed up for CRS, since I will only be narrowly applying to schools within commuting distance from where I live and I don't really want a lot of unsolicited mail from schools I wouldn't be applying to. However, I will sign up if it would help get fee waivers from my local schools (BU, BC, Northeastern, U of NH). From BTDT applicants, does CRS send out "old" scores (I took last September) or just scores received after signing up? Is my only shot at a fee waiver contacting the schools?
Thank you for any help.

You can email the schools directly and ask for merit waivers, skipping the CRS spam all together.

I was at an info session at Columbia last week where they said they wouldn't be sending out any until mid-October. I tried to ask if it was possible to solicit and he basically said no, just sign up for CRS.

Sounds like they're holding off until September scores come out. I might just bite the bullet and apply now, before the waive of September score applicants.
This is what I've been debating. Do you think the extra month would really be a measurable advantage?

Columbia doesn't make regular round decisions until January anyway. I don't think waiting an extra three or four weeks makes a ton of difference. I'm going to hold off until waivers come out.

Y'all are making me wish I took my LSAT earlier. The wait for September results is going to kill me, all my applications are hovering at above 90% completion. Just waiting on a recommender and that little ol' test.
