Congrats to the new admits! Do we still think there will be movement off the waitlist this month? We're getting down to the wire...

Yeah, I think so. But I got zero, so I'm not sure if there is a more ceremonious way of letting you know if you got anything above zero.

I think it was fairly quick. 1-3 days after I submitted my form.

Was reading the NYU waitlist 2018 thread and read the following post from someone which I thought was super interesting:

"One thing important to know is that the admissions committee does not review your LOCI or additional letters of rec or even emails unless they have decided to review you. I know that sounds confusing, but I think it means don't send many LOCI. The office gets them, puts them in your file, then sends you that lovely email saying, "We appreciate this update and have included it in your file for review. Thank you for your continued interest in NYU School of Law." I was under the false assumption the admissions committee got everything I sent after my application in October and reviewed it then."

All that work for nothing :)

Gave them a call earlier and was told that my application is still under review. Decisions will still roll out until the third week of August. What a joke.

I think they are waiting till the beginning of orientation (Aug 23) to see if there are any last-minute dropouts. If you are in the area, may as well stay in the lottery if you have nothing to lose. This is pretty much my attitude towards Columbia now.
