Is it strange that the sent out a second JS1 wave without sending out any dings?

Hi ya'll! Pre-waitlist JS1, just got an email telling me that H will be calling sometime tomorrow to chat about my "future plans." So JS1b's seem to be going out again. For reference, I sent an LOCI around May 1.

Question on that though, from what I saw, the JS2 wave last week didn't have many pre-waitlist JS1s, even people who got JS1bs, but I was under the impression that JS1bs are basically a precursor to acceptance? Is that not the case this year?

I think someone said in past years they've done two JS1 waves - one bigger wave and one smaller wave - before releasing anyone from the waitlist. If that holds, my guess (based on literally no special information) is the first people get released from the waitlist later this week, maybe Thursday or Friday.

Hi checking in here! Just got an email from Harvard that I should be expecting a call tomorrow--from back scrolling on here it looks like that is considered a Js-b? Had my JS1 back in February and didn't send in a LOCI since I was KJ-D still in school until a few days ago and didnt have any meaningful updates. Unsure of what this phone call means or how it will go, but am anxious as ever!

Has anyone who interviewed today heard any feedback from their interviewers regarding when they might hear back?

Howdy, y'all. Medium-term lurker, first-time poster -- I was told that they were trying to get a faculty review done over the weekend, it was a little chaotic because of commencement/reunion events, but it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that it might be before the end of May (paraphrasing somewhat). Here's hoping!

Thanks! No JS1B, but they asked pretty pointedly in my interview on Monday what my plans were and I did not play hard to get. I got the impression that they're planning another round of interviews next week, FWIW.

Congrats to everyone who got in!

Just curious, what sort of things do they ask during the JS1b? Recent semester marks?
