Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before you go - only 59% of 2015 grads from this school got full time JD required jobs
Looks like UH's is lower in that specific category according to law school transparency. I think that's also about 100 less students.

If I wanted to stay in Houston I'd consider only these 2 schools.

More so looking to get any firm experience and then open up my own vs BigLaw which is too lofty a goal considering I can't get into a tier one with my GPA.

Actually it looks like they were initially waitlisted and then accepted, which I suppose can be a good thing if it means STCL is starting to pull people off waitlist...

Hello all!

As many of you, I am also waiting to hear back on a decision. I have been on complete since 01/05. I emailed them about two weeks ago and they claimed they would have a decision for the majority of applicants by the end of April. It's the 27th and still nothing. I'm growing so impatient!

Yup, still only complete. I can confirm that decisions will be going out through early May

GPA: 3.05
LSAT Score: 157

I also think it's crazy! I really wonder if they do actually pull out applications at random.

Yeah the random thing confuses me, too. Since obviously earlier applicants are given priority, how could they pull applications at random? Or perhaps they have some sort number/point system that's weighted based on when the app is submitted, and they just alert students at random? I don't know...

P.S. I'd say that with those numbers and the date you applied, you're a shoe-in plus a decent scholarship, just my observation based on LSN. Good luck.

Update: I emailed them today (05/01). They said, "The new estimated deadline for all files to have a decision rendered is 05/15/2017". So it could potentially be a two week wait. They were surprisingly apologetic about the process taking longer. Meh. We shall see.

I guess I can stop checking the admissions website incessantly.

It's so weird, I haven't seen much movement in terms of admission decisions being released this week. I wonder if they're planning on mass releasing next week.

It's funny how I've been checking the admissions page every hour like a lunatic, and when I don't for 4 hours, I finally receive the e-mail.

Just got in!!!

And good news is that scholarship money is still available. Destiny and everybody else, good luck!

Sorry to hear that Destiny. I can see at least one person that went from the waitlist to accepted on LSN, and it seems as if they accept more people off the waitlist than some other schools, so hopefully you get in.Good luck.

Congrats OXB.
