Wow, that gives us little time to make a decision.
Yeah, I know. But I guess you can argue that and try to get more time for yourself. To be clear, they said they are getting back to ME later this week, you might get it earlier than I do. When do we have till? I thought it's June 15?
My deadline is the 10th. That sucks, because I have a sooner deadline elsewhere and I wanted to hear back on money before making any decisions
If that's the case, you can just email them now, and tell them that you can't give them an answer without your fin aid/scholarship package. And ask them to move the deposit deadline to the 15th. That's protected by official LSAC policy.

Wouldn't mind hearing back later this week, but next week would make things tough. Did you call or email?
I actually emailed them a week ago. I submitted my CSS the day I was accepted, but I've not heard back from them. For a while, I thought they lost my CSS. So I just emailed last week to check on them. And they responded a week later from that, that was yesterday.

The other school already provided me with financial aid info, that's why I wanted to hear from NU before letting the other school know my decision. I don't think they'd be required to give me an extension
If I were you, I would just send them the offer as an attachment. So you don't have to go back and forth in your negotiations. It might save you some time.

I think they purposely are going to give little time to limit the degree to which people could be negotiating.

COA would have been similar at UChi, and not even close to what other t13s offered

Sorry to hear about that. You can try and negotiate!

Yeah, but I don't see it coming close to my GULC offer. Sad day for me.

Mine said it was merit and need combo but based on the fact I've gotten zero for need from every other school I'd say it was almost purely merit. Also the amount I received was far from laughable and has me seriously debating where to attend

Yeah, I got an offer that's also subpar. Maybe they are truly out of money. But I would wait for a little while, and see if they can increase the amount - if you are serious about attending. In my case, I'm withdrawing and heading to Duke.

I would have attended for like 75k more than they offered, so I doubt negotiations will pan out. I'll be joining you in Durham :D
That's ridiculous, and much less than I thought! I guess they decided to throw in the towel.

But you're currently deposited at one school, right? So not sure how including more offers would help.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
