Re: Penn Law c/o 2020 - WAITLIST
Having a tough time figuring one out. I've already sent them a PS, why Penn, teamwork essay, and long LOCI. Will the extra essay really help?SybillAnnDorsett wrote:anyone wanna share what topic they chose for the 2pg?! it can go down in the pms
Also, anyone know how many people are in the Penn 2020 facebook group? Maybe that can give us a good indication of how many people deposited. I didn't deposit at Cornell and they removed me from the group. Do other schools do the same?

ugh, I miss college, but not the finals part - I know what you're feeling. that said, I can tell you that the 2 pages can go quickly/smoothly for you or they can take forever if you choose a difficult topic. I had fun with it; I've got nothing else to lose!

First reported "feeler" call was received Tuesday, May 3rd of last year. People began receiving these calls and getting subsequent acceptances almost immediately after. c/o 2018 was last couple days of April. Winter is coming...

Ya but it also seemed like last year they already completed review of the WL by end of aprilad34964n wrote:First reported "feeler" call was received Tuesday, May 3rd of last year. They want to make sure they are extending an offer to a person who is definitely going to accept. I imagine they don't want to hurt their stats with admitting people off the waitlist who ultimately decline.

yup! they'll gauge interest and hit you with the "Why Penn"Po$eidon wrote:Wait what are these? I know nothing about this. for you, ad34964n: on one hand, the "by May 5th" stipulation on Post's email coupled with "we won't review files until Mid-May" in the status checker makes me think we might be in for a longer wait. that they sent the email at all could suggest they want to use this week to review those who responded with a show of serious/genuine interest to that email.
on the other hand Penn is quick and there's no reason to believe they're going to wait for people to show interest before reviewing; they likely have a short-list of preferred candidates who will likely be the first to hear this week.

I'm just praying that somehow, we'll see more movement this week.StopLawying wrote:+1, you nailed that SybillKeilz wrote:Wow @ that accuracySybillAnnDorsett wrote:short-list of preferred candidates who will likely be the first to hear this week.
Though I can't say that last year's thread is helping.

If there's crazy WL movement this cycle like Spivey predicts, then schools will have to act very quickly so they don't lose potential candidatesKeilz wrote:i feel so naive because i never realized the WL movement happened so quickly, for any of these schools

Re: Penn Law c/o 2020 - WAITLIST
received the feeler call 4/28/2017 this past Friday. Basically wanted to know if I would come and wanted to give me a chance to think seeing as once a spot is offered there is a fast turnover.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
