Temple C/O 2020 (2016 - 2017) Applicants
I don't believe a thread has been started for this cycle yet. So, here it is...
My application was submitted on October 1st. It was marked as complete shortly thereafter. It's still marked as complete and the current status date was updated on November 14th.
Based upon previous cycles, it seems likely that the first round of decisions will be issued before the holidays.
Good luck everyone!

I checked the thread from last year. Admitted students received an email on the same day (12/21/2015) that their status checker updated; that email contained scholarship info and whatnot.
I haven't received an email yet, but there's still daylight!

I received the email. No scholarship info (I'm a splitter and your content may be different), but it said that admit materials with additional info will be mailed out after the first of the year.

Re: Temple C/O 2020 (2016 - 2017) Applicants
I'm curious to see what changes will be made to the merit-based financial aid picture after the issues Temple has faced this year. IIRC, the president fired the provost and then resigned this summer after a $22M shortfall in the financial aid budget was announced. My understanding was that they had been over-promising merit-based aid.
Perhaps the recent administrative has something to do with why they're not handing out Beasley Scholarships (full rides) to a sizable number in the first wave admitted students via email this year - in contrast to last year's thread.
I know this is all very anecdotal, but congrats to everyone that's in thus far and good luck to everyone playing the waiting game!

I just saw on the admitted students page that scholarship offers will arrive with the acceptance letter, rather than with the email as they did in the last cycle.ZEROL27 wrote:I'm curious to see what changes will be made to the merit-based financial aid picture after the issues Temple has faced this year. Saw on the status checker that acceptance packets have been mailed out. Hopeful that scholarship info will be enclosed.

Bit underwhelmed with the scholarship offer myself. Was expecting close to a full ride but didn't even get 50%. Got more than half at much higher ranked schools. Are they low-balling kids because of the above-mentioned scandal? I thought I had heard that scholarships were going to be given more generously this cycle due to the drop in admissions. Does this mean I should just try to negotiate now?

Has anyone who applied mid-November heard back yet? I've heard back from most of the other schools I applied to but Temple is kind of my first choice and I'm getting irritated with the waiting game.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
