No. I emailed them with my Villanova and Drexel offers and they shut me down real quick

About how long did they take to reply? I'm planning to contact them later this week.jamesmangi wrote:UMD121 wrote:Has anyone had any luck successfully negotiating scholarships...?

How big of a deal do y'all think the fall out of the top fifty in USNW rankings is? I'm thinking it won't really matter but some of my classmates think otherwise.

I don't think it really matters, especially if your goal is to practice in Philly. Besides, the drop was not significantly large. Temple is still a great school.

Applied over 8 weeks ago and still have not heard back - when is it appropriate to contact the admissions office? Deadlines are coming up soon. Or is contacting them totally out of the question?

I would wait another week, my one friend took about 10 weeks to hear back from them.templehayden wrote:Applied over 8 weeks ago and still have not heard back - when is it appropriate to contact the admissions office? Deadlines are coming up soon. Or is contacting them totally out of the question?

Has anyone who applied for the public interest scholarship heard back anything yet? We don't have much time left to decide so I was hoping they would notify people before the end of this week.

the Rubin-Presser Fellowship? nah, I was hoping the same. Did you speak to anyone and/or read anywhere about a general timeline or when they get back to us?chelssd3232 wrote:Has anyone who applied for the public interest scholarship heard back anything yet? I called yesterday with no reply... I'm figuring they should let us know by the end of the week but since we haven't heard anything I'm not so sure anymore.hairypotter17 wrote:the Rubin-Presser Fellowship? nah, I was hoping the same. I was told that the committee meets in early April and that a decision would be made before the deposit deadline. Wasn't able to get greater specificity about the timeline though.

No problem. Big part of why I applied there, so really hoping today's the day! (and that it's good news all 'round!)

Rankings beyond the T13 are essentially useless. Any school beyond that is purely regional. AKA, don't sweat itchelssd3232 wrote:How big of a deal do y'all think the fall out of the top fifty in USNW rankings is? I'm thinking it won't really matter but some of my classmates think otherwise.

Any idea of how much funding individuals get with the fellowship? I haven't heard or seen any numbers anywhere so I was just curious.ocotillo wrote:No problem. Big part of why I applied there, so really hoping today's the day! (and that it's good news all 'round!)

Nope. I gather it's based on your existing offer, but they provide an additional $1000 for PI summer internships, which is cool.
Grawr. I wish I just knew so I could make my decision.

The dean emailed me this weekend saying we should have a decision by the end of the week... which is necessary since we have five days to commit.ocotillo wrote:chelssd3232 wrote:Any idea of how much funding individuals get with the fellowship?
