So no other notification of admission besides the mail?

Apparently. I was weirded out to get mail from Atlanta and I assumed it was from the firm I work at.
I haven't received an e-mail or phone call, but it is a Monday and a holiday.

No email follow-up. Not expecting a phone call.

I live in GA and didn't get any type of Fedex today. Desperately need an acceptance and significant scholarship from Emory.

Re: Emory Law c/o 2020 (2016-2017)
Hello TLSers. This is Ethan Rosenzweig, the dean of admission, financial aid, and student life at Emory Law. I have a new handle "emoryadmissiondean17" as candidly, I am having trouble resetting my password for my original account. Thanks for indulging my posts here from time-to-time. As the admission season moves to the acceptance phase, I wanted to share a few notes:
1) Acceptance Packages – Some applicants received Fedex envelopes today containing their admission letters. This year, we will be using a combination of Fedex and US mail to notify applicants of their acceptance. (International admittees outside of North America will also receive an email.) Soon, a batch of acceptances are being sent via the post office on Thursday, January 19, and I anticipate those to hit folks’ mailboxes next week. However, this is just the beginning. We will be sending out acceptances throughout the next two months.
2) Applications – we will accept applications through the February LSAT, so do not worry if you still are crafting your application.
3) Woodruff Applications – most scholarships are awarded based on review of your application. However, our full-scholarship (and stipend) Woodruff Fellowships undergo an additional review. The deadline for Woodruff nominations and applications is next week. http://www.law.emory.edu/woodruff
That is all I have right now. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at jdadmission(a)emory.edu.
See you on campus soon!

Re: Emory Law c/o 2020 (2016-2017)
Yes, I requested a waiver code this cycle at the beginning of December and received one promptly. I didn't get around to submitting my application until early this month, and the code just gave me error messages. I emailed the adcom on the 9th and haven't heard back. I didn't want to nag so I've let it sit, but I guess I'll try emailing one more time, especially given the above post.S.Picquery wrote:Ah, oops. Thought OP meant that they couldn't get the auto one from last year to work. But, I would just call the ofice. Depending on which address you used, the recipient may not be in (many of the adcomms are travelling and still doing recruitment work for Emory right now).thistlybrick wrote:Doesn't sound like OP is reusing an old waiver, but having trouble with the one he requested and, presumably, acquired.

It's a shame they recommend having someone nominate you who wasn't a recommender. Totally would have applied for that otherwise.Kaylasvi wrote:TFW you get an email encouraging you to apply to a full tuition scholarship, but you haven't even gotten admitted yet...

My thoughts exactly. Going to take the email as a confidence boost, whether or not I'll regret that later/Kaylasvi wrote:TFW you get an email encouraging you to apply to a full tuition scholarship, but you haven't even gotten admitted yet...

Has anyone been accepted with decision via usps yet? I signed up for the USPS notifications and I got a notification that there's something coming in tomorrow. I haven't ordered anything recently (well everything that I have has already come in). The USPS website doesn't say where it came from... unless it came from my area, which if that's the case, I still have no idea what it is and it's definitely not from Emory haha.

May we all receive acceptances and >100k in scholarships. Remember, Dean Rosenzweig said some letters were sent via usps, some via FedEx. Good luck!

You need to create an account. Then you can update your notification preferences under "FedEx Delivery Manager."freddieb wrote:How do you sign up for the FedEx notifications? I've done it for USPS.
