If you haven't visited, I highly recommend it. I had a great visit recently - where I sat in on a class (professor was young, hilarious, & brilliant), took a tour, and met with admissions. They were super helpful with everything and looked up my application while I was there. I like Cardozo. It was an overall good vibe.
Highly recommend visiting any law school you are on the fence about or that you would consider attending.

That's great! Has anyone attended an Admitted Students Day? If so, is there anything I should expect?LegallyBlackJD wrote:If you haven't visited, I highly recommend it. I'm planning on just doing a visit. I can't really justify making two trips back east to my work.lillawyer2 wrote:warwickmain wrote:Anyone attending the 3/16 Admitted Students Day?

Do you think they will? In the summer or something? I will have made a decision by then though.lillawyer2 wrote:i was going to wait until they offered a weekend ASDCharlie802 wrote:I'm planning on just doing a visit. I do not know, but they should. The only thing they offered was on President's Day~which was a holiday. :/Charlie802 wrote:Do you think they will? In the summer or something? Yeah that one didn't work for me either. I'm just going to do a visit and see how that goes. ASD would be nice but their stipend doesn't even cover a plane ticket for me, so I wouldn't go anyway if I've already visited.lillawyer2 wrote:I do not know, but they should. So it seems acceptances are made by phone. I was wondering if anyone can confirm where there's a status change/date change on the status checker before the phone call. I've been complete and UR since 3/1 and I'd really like an NY option under my belt. I have good options from my other preferred market but NYC is appealing to me for a multitude of reasons.

There's a status change to decision made. If you are rejected or waitlisted you get an email. If you are Accepted you get a call or snail mailLegallylawyer2020 wrote:So it seems acceptances are made by phone. Yup! Does anyone who went to the first one have any insight on what to expect and whether to dress casual or professional etc?warwickmain wrote:Anyone attending the 3/16 Admitted Students Day?

Business casual seemed to be the standard, some were more dressed up and some were lessFerrisjso wrote:Yup! Does anyone who went to the first one have any insight on what to expect and whether to dress casual or professional etc?warwickmain wrote:Anyone attending the 3/16 Admitted Students Day?

Re: Cardozo Law C/O 2020
Has anyone had any luck negotiating for more scholarship $? It seems from prior years that bumps from Cardozo occur around March mid-to-late 20s. I'm a bit worried since my deposit is due on 3/24 but I'm planning to reach out either after ASD at the end of this week or early next week and hope they can reply.

Do people have different deposit dates, or am I missing something? My first deposit is due 4/14. You can also pay the first deposit and then negotiate, and withdraw, or threaten to withdraw, if you don't get a bump.

Thanks! It's good to know that Fall entry's deposit due date is 4/14. May entry's deposit due date is 3/24, which doesn't give too much room for negotiation since it would seem they push out whatever $ is left after 3/24. But since accepting Cardozo is contingent on what scholly $ I can get, I'll definitely try that week and stress that my deposit due date is 3/24 rather than the standard Fall entry.Shakawkaw wrote:Do people have different deposit dates, or am I missing something? Re: Cardozo Law C/O 2020
Hi guys,
I've been reading everyone's posts and started to wonder. I've applied for May-entry and have been under review for just a little while (3/6). Cardozo is feeling like my top choice specifically because of the May-entry. From LSN it looks like decisions generally come around 15-20 days after being under review. If that follows, it seems like I would get a decision after the first seat deposit is due for May-entry. Would it be advisable to wait it out or send a preemptive LOCI about May-entry because of the seat deposit?

Did anyone else receive an invitation to interview from the Assistant Director of Admissions? This doesn't seem common for Cardozo. I'm guessing they are on the fence about my application.

Are you going to one of the walk-in office hours? Not really sure what that's about.

No theres at least two more on the Cardozo Class of 2020 thread. Something tells me theyll also be a lot of lurkers there though. Im going to be trying to talk to everyone i can during the walk in period, honestly think they should have made that longer and shortened the panels.warwickmain wrote:Welp, guess we might be the only 2 TLS going tomorrow.Ferrisjso wrote:Yup!
