Does anyone know if UCI provides a status checker?
Applied the day after the Dec LSAT scores came out, but haven't heard anything other than a confirmation email.

Called yesterday and was told they take 6-8 weeks to respond from the day they get your application/scores. December test takers are most likely going to hear back in 6 weeks; really hoping it's sooner, though.

I wonder if they're receiving more applications this year now that the school's had a few years to establish a reputation.

I applied on the 9th and got a response 4 days later, I think they may be pulling out specific applicants rather than going in order. I took the December LSAT.

Not at all. I had a 166 and a 3.67. I got a decent scholarship offer with it.

Congrats on the acceptance! Are you above both medians? I'm a splitter, unfortunately, so that may explain the delay.

Yeah, I am right at the 75th percentile for both. I am actually having a Skype meeting with the Dean this Thursday for the pre-law association at my school. So I could ask him what the normal turnaround time if for most applicants.

Thanks! I like UCI a LOT. But I have several schools covering full tuition and UCI is only covering about 60%. I really do not want to graduate with debt, so UCI would have to make their offer more competitive. Ideally, I would like to go to Arizona and get a dual degree JD/Master's in Latin American Studies. But if the master's program doesn't give me what I am hoping for, then I will definitely try and get UCI to give me a better offer. I think they are my #2 after Arizona.

Yea, I'll ask him tomorrow how long it takes for most applicants to hear back and when they are going to send out the next wave. I'll ask him about scholarships and negotiation as well.

UCI has a lot of literature out there and there is a decent amount of topics to write about from how its making waves in the OC, Dean Chem's background, to it's new 'innovative' curriculum. It's one of the easier schools to write about if you can put the time in.

For those of you who received scholly, is there a GPA stipulation attached? I thought UCI does not offer conditional scholarships, but my scholarship letter states that a GPA of 2.5 or above is needed to maintain the scholarship

I have the same. Median is 3.3. Im not concerned.
