How generous is UCI being with their scholarships this year?

Not very. Already received higher offers from schools ranked 10-13 spots higher.

Makes me feel better about myself...submitted the wrong personal statement so even if I got in, I wouldn't go on account of money

they do provide a very generous travel stipend though. I might visit just for fun

Out of curiousity, why would people want to go to UCI when they probably have good enough numbers for USC/UCLA and UCI isn't even being very generous with scholarship?

Because admissions aren't that clear cut. I got into UCI fairly quickly, then got WL by UCLA, and accepted at USC. So for me UCLA isn't even an option even if I wanted it + USC is hella expensive even if they're "generous".

UCI is still a very good choice for those who want to practice in the OC market. Also COL at UCI is significantly lower than the COL at UCLA or USC. And as a splitter, I was fortunate enought to receive a very generous offer from UCI

Did anyone else's letter come with a handwritten note that said "scholarship information is forthcoming"? The letter referred to "this award;" it was almost as if they'd deleted the sentence that actually stated the amount.

My packet just has arrived, zero scholarship...
Was seriously considering UCI, this is so sad.
