I was surprisingly priority wait listed.
From what I have gathered from previous years threads is there even a "regular" wait list?

It seems their entire wait list is "priority". Granted this is just based off of online forums, nothing empirical or directly from the source. Anybody know differently?

They have two separate waitlists, Priority Waitlist / Waitlist. I've spoken with both former students and the admissions office to confirm. However, they weren't able to inform me how small the priority pool actually is. Only that they would begin to pull from the waitlist following the first seat deposit deadline. Best of luck.maddawg2020 wrote:It seems their entire wait list is "priority". Granted this is just based off of online forums, nothing empirical or directly from the source. Anybody know differently?

Yep, just received an update email (appeared to be just a standard template) indicating the first seat deposit is April 21st, with the waitlist decisions occurring from mid May through August.

Just received a response (after about two weeks or so) to my negotiation attempt. They balked at providing more aid (I was originally offered the full/10K/10K package) but tagged on a 3K fellowship funding package of sorts.
I've been impressed with Colorado and happy with my interactions with their admissions office, but will probably withdraw this week. I have a few drastically higher scholarships from higher-ranked schools. Hope one of y'all gets the spot or the money!

I got something similar. Congrats on the successful admissions cycle, but I agree that their scholarship system is a bit strange. I bet they lose a lot of top students because of it.hethebearded wrote:Just received a response (after about two weeks or so) to my negotiation attempt. Thanks! And I agree. They probably have it a bit easier because so many folks want to be in Colorado right now, even people who could attend higher-ranked schools for less. But they'll lose a lot of us above their 75ths who are more debt-averse.SolRs wrote:I got something similar. The bigger problem is that the state's budget is a train wreck of conflicting constitutional requirements. There are very few areas that the legislature can exercise discretion, with one of them being higher education. The schools gets very little from the state. These numbers are a couple of years old, but you get the idea. https://trends.collegeboard.org/college ... te-2014-15hethebearded wrote:Thanks! And I agree. Thanks for that link - it makes sense that that would pose an issue. At any rate, I hope Colorado Law keeps trending up. It seems like a great school with a lot going for it.

I hope so, too. I'm still waiting to hear back from a number of schools, but I'm keeping CO in the mix. I was fortunate enough to get a generous aid package from them, which obviously puts a different spin on the decision.hethebearded wrote:Thanks for that link - it makes sense that that would pose an issue. Does anyone know why they pushed the first seat deposit back? I thought they traditionally had it on the 14th/15th.

They had to set up an electronic system for paying the deposit, which put a delay on it.BTRT wrote:Does anyone know why they pushed the first seat deposit back? I thought they traditionally had it on the 14th/15th.

If anyone tried negotiating scholarship has it worked? And how long did it take for them to get back to you?

Looking at past conversation from previous years it looks like the only people who get of the waitlist are thouse with LSAT in the 160. Do you guy think others with lower LSAT have a real chance?

Nobody from this cycle (2016-2017) has gone from Waitlisted to Accepted yet on LSN.amta wrote:http://colorado.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/1617Dazim wrote:Looking at past conversation from previous years it looks like the only people who get of the waitlist are thouse with LSAT in the 160. From the cycle prior to 16/17:
WL -> Accepted:
155/3.27
152/3.63
162/2.76
WL -> Rejected:
162/3.0
158/2.84
make of that what you want.

I was "priority waitlisted" here, and I haven't removed myself from it in case of a miracle, but I'm out of state and couldn't really justify anywhere near sticker here, so I probably won't take it if I do get in.
(160/3.44, retaking in June for $/waitlists)
