University of South Carolina c/o 2020 2016/2017 applications

Post by Rockytop12 » Mon Nov 14, 2016 10:54 am

Has anyone heard from University of South Carolina? My application went "in review" on 10/28. The status has not changed since then.

Accepted last week. Is scholarship money sent out with acceptances or does it come later? I don't really expect to receive anything but just wondering when applicants are notified.

I applied 01/17/2017 and haven't gotten any notifications or anything still under review? Anyone have any update or time frame updates

Rejected 03/20/2017, first rejection did not sting as much since i got into 5 other schools!

I finally went to decision mailed today. Nervous. How long will it be to get the letter?

I wonder how long it takes from this point? I was told earlier that they might do this round via email/electronic. I am hoping it was mailed today!

I put in a late application, just went complete today. I'm really leaning toward SC so I'm hoping for a quick acceptance! (lol) Can anyone who is familiar with the area tell me what life is like in/near Columbia?

FWIW, I got an acceptance w/ scholarship in the mail the same day as I got an email which told me I was in, but gave no scholly info. But I live just over the border in NC so the mail didnt have too far to travel.

It's a place that's really trying to be a city, but is just failing on all fronts. Totally controlled by the University and wouldn't be anything more than a ghetto without the students bringing in business. Social scene is the same 5 bars. Hope you like football and St. Pats cause that's it as far as "culture" goes.

Okay good, I was getting worried. Btw, I went to USC for undergrad, and there are different things to do around here depending on what you're into. Columbia has been trying as of late to cater more to young professionals to keep talent within the city, so I'm sure there are more things coming to Columbia pretty soon.

Scholarship funding is low b/c they had to pay for this new law school. The facility is nice, but the new faculty is Meh IMO. Not any big names from notable schools or professions. Only apply if you want to practice in South Carolina forever or be Trey Gowdy.
