Re: Iowa Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
As an international student I had very serious doubts since my grades do not translate to a GPA only to a recommendation based on a 1-5 system, 5 being the highest. I landed on a 4 and had no idea what it meant buuut I made it in per 12/6. The coorporate law program at Iowa is extremely attractive to me as it is what I specialized in when I took my Danish law school degree. Iowa is my top choice, too. Extremely excited.
This was helpful, thanks! In regards to scholly info, unless you're an absolutely phenomenal candidate, in which case they'll offer you a scholly simultaneously with your admission letter, admissions at Iowa usually chooses to wait until January-early March to notify all admitted students if they've received a scholly and how much it is.

Just went into review today. It looks like some stayed in this phase for up to 3 weeks.. hoping for a pre-Christmas miracle.

Has anyone else been in review since about a week ago? It's killing me. I had a date change from the 12th to the 16th, but still nothing.

Just checked and I'm now on the preliminary waitlist - so maybe no news is good news.UltimateSplitter wrote:Has anyone else been in review since about a week ago? It's killing me. I had a date change from the 12th to the 16th, but still nothing.

I'm in the same boat as of this morning. Super late, but was accepted on 12/22. applied about a week before that, still no scholarship information but I'm assuming that's because of break.

Jut got the $$ email today. It also mentioned "you will be eligible for a research assistantship". Is this an option that is available to everyone accepted? If so I'm assuming the positions are fairly competitive to get.that1one1guy wrote:Super late, but was accepted on 12/22. applied about a week before that, still no scholarship information but I'm assuming that's because of break.
