Status date change today...originally complete 3/1 now changed to 3/8. Any thoughts on what this means?

They don't ever go "under review", so it's just a sign of progress on your application. From what other people have said, it seems like there's two date changes before a decision.

Thanks! I knew it never went "under review", I should have been clearer. I was really asking if I should definitely expect one more date change before a decision or if one date change was sufficient for a decision to be made.

If I'm admitted it would be very difficult for me to turn down.

I already put in my deposit.

Unless I get a miraculous acceptance from Columbia, I am attending Fordham and I am very happy too.

Got admitted 3/8 (submitted 1/1, complete 1/13, 1/24, 3/3), with scholarship info later that day! Anyone have a sense of whether Fordham will negotiate scholarship money? I'm very pleased with my award, but I feel like it couldn't hurt to try--however, if it's not something Fordham does, I won't bother.

How are people notified? I'm very surprised to have not heard from Fordham.

I got an email notifying me of my admission, and then another email later that day with scholarship info. At some point my status checker also changed to say "congratulations on your acceptance" or something like that, but I'm not sure when exactly that happened.

ETA: nine weeks elapsed between submitting my application and receiving a decision, and I've seen people on this board who have waited longer. Doesn't seem like a wait is bad news. Good luck!

I tried negotiating earlier this month, a financial guy responded about giving out their best offer first and to consider the placement Fordham has vs. the schools that gave me more money. Didn't even mention my other offers I sent. Will see what happens. May try again.

I don't think Fordham is very open to negotiating, I don't even think I'm going to try. This is actually the exact answer I expected out of them. I think they acknowledge that they offer realistic scholarships. If you have an exorbitant amount of money from a higher ranked school, then you're just using them for scholarship negotiation and probably won't realistically go. If you have an exorbitant amount of money from a lower ranked school, Fordham's a better option rankings wise which is why they're offering less money for your scores and they're right. At the ASD, the dean of enrollment actually made a (rather hilarious) comment about how this isn't a local flea market.

I went to ASD a few weeks ago and that is the exact same phrase worded by one of the top Fordham alumni or employees. I forgot the name of the man. I guess they are solidifying their stance on the matter.

Haha, you beat me to it! It was the dean of enrollment. I could not remember his title or name.

I wish law school (schools in general) isn't so expensive.
