How long has it been taking from app complete to decision?
Submitted 1/14, completed sometime last week I believe.

Re: UNC c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
Applied just now... I know I'm super late. Did a first round of applications and ignored UNC as I was trying to get it all done and the application was too unique. But now that I've been getting decisions back and realizing which admits I'm happy about and which I don't see as realistic, I keep coming back to UNC and thinking what a good fit it is.
So here's hoping I get in and that my lateness doesn't completely count me out of $$ if so.

Just dropping into this thread to say hi and that I'm anxiously waiting to hear back from UNC. Carolina is one of my top choices. I can't decide whether I'm relieved or frustrated that their status checker doesn't say anything when it's under review.

Do you find out immediately as you are accepted if you get any scholarship money from UNC?

Do you mind if I ask what amount you received/with what numbers? I have a 160 LSAT score and a 4.0 GPA with above average softs. I am trying to gauge if I will get any scholarship money provided I am accepted.SeanORaff33 wrote:I found out the next dayemilycyoung1 wrote:Do you find out immediately as you are accepted if you get any scholarship money from UNC?

Do any current UG/Law students have any idea how difficult it is to get in-state tuition? I know it entails showing your intent to reside in NC after graduating among other things, but im curious as to what would constitute proof of that after your first year. A summer associateship? Even then it seems pretty risky to bet on being able to get it...

Can anybody tell me what the process (application status) looked like for them?
Mine just went to complete (pretty quickly after submitting my supplemental app) how long did it take you guys to move from complete to either accepted rejected or waitlisted? Or does it still have to switch to under review?

It stays complete until the decision comes out, no under review. Submitted mid-Nov, I received the acceptance email after four weeks.emilycyoung1 wrote:Can anybody tell me what the process (application status) looked like for them?

Yep, I gave my name, LSAC# and stats, and also made the case for it being somewhat need-based given my current job situation. Got a yes response within 24 hours, so best of luck to you if you ask now! I asked in mid-January.0LawSchool wrote:Has anyone successfully requested a fee waiver?

In today with 17,500 scholly. Anyone know how easy it is to get UNC instate tuition right away? They made it sound easy in the email, but if it's not that's gonna make the school basically an instant elimination for me, since I was expecting more of a scholarship than that and with tuition costs rising year over year I could end up spending a good chunk of change more than I was hoping to for not as great a return on investment.

No hold. Complete on 2/3 and admitted 2/14. LSAT= 75 and 50<GPA<75. Non URM from a well known rigorous undergrad. Have significant work experience in the area of law I'm interested in, and UNC has a strong program in that areas, so it was a good fit.bbmayes wrote:Stats? I was a little bummed by my $$ but I knew what to expect from browsing LSN. Still hoping I can bump them up. I got nearly double from a higher ranked program with similar tuition, so hoping that I can use that to talk them up. Carolina is a top choice for me, but IDK how much debt I can justify. COL is so low in the triangle compared to schools where I got full $$ that I am thinking if I can talk them up even a bit it will even out. We'll see.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
