Hard to say w/o knowing your stats. Compare your stats to the 2016 admissions data on the first page of this thread. if you're above 75 in both, you're probably in. if you're at 50 in both, probably in, 25 not so much, splitter? UW isn't traditionally splitter friendly but if you look at LSN, there's a good amount of data to give you a clue.rozes wrote:Submitted on 12/12, and my status checker says "Decision" as of 12/13. No word via email, though, and I'm going to follow their directions re: waiting 7-10 days before following-up. I'm having an aneurysm over here, though. Anyone have an idea why that turnaround was so fast? Potentially might be an entry error?
Want to practice in Seattle, so very nervous.
That does seem pretty hasty. I believe admitted students receive a phone call from a UW Law staff member, so as if you needed another reason to be on edge.rozes wrote:GPA < 25, LSAT > 75. So splitter. Judging from LSN, seems like a good shot (*KNOCKING ON WOOD*), but I'm just shocked by the 24-hour turnaround on a decision...and then silence for the next few days. It's faster than for folks who have better #s than myself.cianchetta0 wrote:Hard to say w/o knowing your stats. I was admitted last week and I received an email and a packet in the mail but no call. That might have something to do with me living on the East Coast though.cianchetta0 wrote:That does seem pretty hasty. I'm in Portland and didn't get a call so I think they probably do it both via email and phone call.monotonemr wrote:I was admitted last week and I received an email and a packet in the mail but no call. Admitted with no supplemental essay. Above both 75thsGitaroo_Dude wrote:Did anyone who was admitted choose to not do the supplemental essays? I'm curious how optional those are, or if they're kind of "required optional". Does it affect scholarship negotiations with them if you didn't do one?
Don't know about scholarship negotiations but I was accepted without doing any additional essays. Also, you have to write another 500 word essay when you get accepted. So I would think that would have the most weight placed on it.Gitaroo_Dude wrote:Did anyone who was admitted choose to not do the supplemental essays? Oh, bleh. Is that the additional application I've heard about for scholarship consideration?PDX4343 wrote:Don't know about scholarship negotiations but I was accepted without doing any additional essays. Yeah it's definitely a little annoying to do but it's not too awful. It's pretty much just one 500 word essay and then a few quick other questions.Gitaroo_Dude wrote:PDX4343 wrote:Don't know about scholarship negotiations but I was accepted without doing any additional essays. Thanks btw, glad to know the supplemental essays aren't necessary.
Definitely noticed this username on last year's UW cycle on LSN. kinda a numbers twin.forlornhope wrote:The hoops are there precisely because there's not a lot of money to go around. However, keep in mind that UW's in-state costs can be half of what comparable schools ask for.
Let it give you hope! My response took a while, and I think it was because my application was quite non-traditional with a dash of splitter.cianchetta0 wrote:

Thanks! I'm waiting on my second LSAT score, from Dec. I'm marked 'incomplete' due to that. How's the 1L life?forlornhope wrote:Let it give you hope! My response took a while, and I think it was because my application was quite non-traditional with a dash of splitter.cianchetta0 wrote:

Also, the online status checker and responses last year were fairly delayed during the holiday weeks. Hopefully you'll hear back with good results.
