Accepted this morning via email!!

Went complete on 10/04, so I'm very happy to hear back so soon, and it's my first acceptance of the cycle.

Check your spam folder. Last year I got my scholarship offer 2 or 3 days after being accepted but didn't know about it for awhile because it went to my spam folder.

Don't see anything, but my spam deletes after a week, so I may have missed it if it came in Sept. If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats, and how much did you get?

Atlanta, are you going to the UGA prospective student open house today?

I was planning on it, but things have been super crazy at work this week and I couldn't get away. If you go, let me know how it is!

It was really good. I was impressed with their career services center in that each person specializes in a certain type of employment (i.e. Clerkships, big law, etc). They pair you up with a professor, student, career advisor and alumni member from the start. The campus is great as well, I've been there before but it was only to walk the outside of the campus. Plenty to do in downtown Athens. I got to sit in on a contracts class and the professor was fantastic. Definitely used the Socratic method but when students were lost he helped coach them along to the correct answer and it didn't feel as if they were being belittled. Apparently Justice Thomas from SCOTUS has been by a few times in the past three years and conducts small group sessions with students, another bonus in my book. Overall I was pleased, the two professors I spoke with and the number of students that told me the good and the bad has helped ease a lot of my fears of going back to school. I'd say schedule a private tour if you have time.

Admitted! First one of the cycle so this feels good man.

As a pretty big splitter, it's nice to have one in the bag. 8)

Looking back at past threads it looks like people haven't received scholarship info until later. I got the in-state equalizer but it would be sweet if more is on the way. Did anyone receive any scholarship info with their acceptance?

How were you guys made aware that you received the in-state equalization? I was accepted on 9/21, but haven't received any scholly info or anything regarding tuition equalization. I have a campus visit scheduled for November 11th.

In as of 20 minutes ago via email!

Early Decision, submitted yesterday.

Anyone know when scholarship offers come out?

In state, 25th LSAT and above 75th GPA.

Prof. Coenen? He's awesome.

I've heard varying reports, sometimes it's a few days other times it can be weeks to months. Like everyone else has said check your spam folder and also check your snail mail. I've got the same stats as you and will be applying this weekend. I'd be interested to see if they offer us anything since tuition is so low but you never know.

It wasn't Coenen, but I heard a few others who said good things about him. I sat in with Prof. Barnett.
