Yep exactly, as they only ask for last name and emaillmcghee wrote:is the trick just to request a password from the accepted student site to see if you're in the system?PDX4343 wrote:It's not working for me either. Yeah didn't work for me. I'm assuming it's too early in the cycle for this trick though.taxman14 wrote:Yep exactly, as they only ask for last name and emaillmcghee wrote:is the trick just to request a password from the accepted student site to see if you're in the system?PDX4343 wrote:It's not working for me either. Anyone know if it's people start receiving mail on the 15th or whether that's the day they start going out?

I"m still bummed that with the interview I'll only be hearing back after November 1st
On the bright side, I thought I broke my thumb kickboxing yesterday but X-ray shows I didn't. It would have cramped my style for all the upcoming interviews.

The past two years the 15th has been when people have first received the letter but they also opened the application five days earlier then- 9/10Assasindowntheavenue wrote:Anyone know if it's people start receiving mail on the 15th or whether that's the day they start going out?

Thanks! And damn I hadn't thought about that late app open this year. Hope it doesn't change things.jlc058 wrote:The past two years the 15th has been when people have first received the letter but they also opened the application five days earlier then- 9/10Assasindowntheavenue wrote:Anyone know if it's people start receiving mail on the 15th or whether that's the day they start going out?

Not sure what the consensus is about how reliable this was, but last year's thread had some people have "final undergraduate transcript and certification form" with unchecked boxes next to them in the "requirements" box shortly before getting their snail mail acceptances. So maybe some of us will have those soon

Wait, seriously? That seems very bizarre to me. Have you applied yet? Maybe if you haven't they just see you looking at the other D.C. schools and want you to consider Gtown. If you did apply did you include those schools on your app as other schools you're applying to?poptart123 wrote:"We see you checking out the GW, George Mason, and American websites. I also got the email I think you're talking about. It looks like an automatic email to people who filled out the "Introduce yourself to Georgetown" link on there website?... that's my guess.BlackCanary wrote:Anyone else get a really creepy, big-brother email from them?

From Facebook:
Georgetown Law, Office of Admissions
The Office of Admissions will be closed on Monday, October 17 for our annual staff retreat. We will return all emails and calls on Tuesday when we are back in the office.
Is this a sign they are planning to be out of the office when a lot of calls might be coming in?

Yes. That's pretty genius actually. Unless you're not one of the lucky ones in the first batch of acceptances lol.mp68 wrote:From Facebook:

Sorry if this has already been discussed at length here, I'm just joining in, but is Georgetown known to give out much significant merit-based aid? I feel like I've seen less discussion about scholarships at GULC than at other universities and $$ will be a pretty big factor for me
