Has anyone who was on the "alternate" list for scholarships made any progress?

I got an offer a few days ago!

Same here, got an offer Tuesday after being an alternate.

How did you know you were an alternate? Did they let you know in an email before getting the offer?

Yeah, I think I got it about when the others got their $$ offers, and it said I was an alternate and that they would update me by April 13.

At the time I was pretty salty, because it seemed like a scholly waitlist, and I'm so sick of waitlists at this point in the cycle. But they were pretty quick to get back to me, and my offer was better than expected, so all is forgiven!

The email I got didn't even say I was an alternate or would know by April 13th. It said they couldn't offer me any money and things could change over time. If it did they would let me know but for now assume I'm not getting anything and make plans based on that.

Received a scholarship for $35k/year yesterday afternoon, sobbed for about 6 hours, and immediately committed. LSAT = 50, 50 < GPA < 75, alumni interview in February. That scholarship made my life goal possible. Can't wait to meet some of you next year!

Just got offered a 35k/year, was wondering if it is still possible to negotiate for more money after submitting intent to enroll form? I am pretty satisfied with this scholarship and almost certainly will end up attending GULC but I'm always open to trying to get some more money lol some info on this would be appreciated!

I know the feeling, but don't be too sad. I was an alternate and heard back sooner than I thought I would and the $$ was a lot better than I had expected.

I have a deadline at another school tomorrow so I called about an hour ago to ask if today was still "the" day. The answer was that alternates will get an email today, but it wasn't clear if that email was an offer or a "be patient" email or what...but fingers crossed for good news!

Also, my original alternate email came at like 7:30 pm EST so I wouldn't be surprised if it comes after their office closes for the day (which is in like 8 minutes I think).

I submitted mine before the March 15th deadline and heard back 2-3 weeks later.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your stats and when did you respond to the feeler email? (you can PM me if you'd like) Thanks!

Also, as a general question, does anyone have advice for how they responded to the feeler email and successfully got some money? I know people talked about this earlier, but I never followed through to hear how it went.

My stats are 168/Superior (international student). I didn't receive the first round feeler email. I asked for the merit scholarship on 8th March. Received the feeler email a week later and replied immediately asking for 45k/yr.
