I received a financial aid offer and am waiting on a merit one. Are you able to combine need-based grants and merit-based aid?

Are they posted on MyAccess separately? I was under the impression the financial aid offer included both...(would like that not to be true, though!)JordanLaw15 wrote:I received a financial aid offer and am waiting on a merit one. Are you able to combine need-based grants and merit-based aid?

Hi all, for those of you who did a video interview, how long afterwards did you get a decision?

Mine was about 7 business days from when I went complete but I also applied ED. There was a partial watch the day I went complete. My acceptance letter was dated Monday and I saw my video was viewed a second time (in it's entirety) the Thursday prior.lula43 wrote:Exactly 2 weeks.amberb94 wrote:Hi all, for those of you who did a video interview, how long afterwards did you get a decision?
I can't imagine the video would influence timing too much but I do think it's helpful and shows you're serious in your interest.

Sorry, I wasn't being specific enough. I forgot there was an option to submit a video. My alumni interview was over FaceTime and that's what I was talking about. Too funny I didn't do the video but fingers crossed that it's a quick turn around!amberb94 wrote:Sorry, I wasn't being specific enough. I forgot there was an option to submit a video. Has anyone heard about merit scholarships recently? I solicited a feeler email a month ago and responded, but haven't heard anything since...

The deadline for the first round they sent out is April 3rd, I think. I would imagine they are waiting to see who responds and puts a seat deposit in before releasing more funds. If I remember reading correctly, more scholarships were offered within a few days last year after the initial response deadline.elf852 wrote:Has anyone heard about merit scholarships recently? Someone also said they respond to everyone, so perhaps not hearing yet is a good thing.
(I haven't heard either so that's at least my positive thinking!)

I think this is the deadline to nail down a scholarship. Otherwise I believe it's May 1.onecallthats all wrote:Is this confirmed? May 1st is the seat deposit deadline. You also need to submit your transcripts and Dean Certification Form by that date as well.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
