if you have a good offer from another similarly ranked (or higher ranked) school, go there. A current student told me the legal writing department absolutely sucks here. Not pass or fail, and apparently they don't actually teach students how to write. they use a hide the ball kind of strategy, then they grade you on a curve.

A few points:

1. Legal writing classes are usually what every 1L complains about most. They all suck.

2. Not having a P/F legal writing class does suck extra.

3. Whether there is a hide the ball strategy largely depends on which of the six legal writing sections you get. That is not an inaccurate description of my legal writing class.

4. No legal writing class is actually going to teach you how to write. They teach you enough that you can learn how to actually write once you start working.

5. Picking a law school based on LRW, which is a really small part of law school, isn't the greatest idea.

Not going to give an exact date because I don't want to out myself, but it was early Feb. I know that comparatively I haven't been waiting for that long, it's just late in the process at this point.

Ya I applied last week of January. It's strange because a poster above applied midway through February and heard back already

Withdrawing my waitlist acceptance. They will only reimburse travel that takes place before the deposit deadline, and my deadline is 5/5. Too short notice to travel and they won't give me an extension. And I'm not depositing to a school I've never seen. Stuck between a rock and a hard place here.

I certainly won't be attending Vanderbilt, but just for another complaint here I applied in 2016 and haven't heard a peep

Yup, Central American. I interviewed way back, interviewer was so rude kept commenting on my physical appearance so I was turned off by the school. Though its a fantastic school!
