Oh, I mean, anyone targeting Skadden means one less person I'd have to compete with for a different firm. Definitely turned off to it for the reasons you listed.Rigo wrote:The word on the street is that Skadden LA is fucking awful, but I guess $180k is $180k.Gitaroo_Dude wrote:I like to think it means one less person at OCI targeting a firm I'd want to work for.Rigo wrote:lol fuck skadden. Not my cup of tea.

This will show you which 3.4 GPA applicants got in: http://ucla.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... =gpa_lsdas
It is GPA + LSAT though, not just GPA exclusively.

Has anyone gotten admit/WL/rejection notifications this week? I have a deadline next Monday and was hoping this would be a hot admissions week.

Guys, sorry for being an annoying jerk but I wanted to ask this again.
There really aren't any rules attached to the first deposit, and I'd like to confirm that I can double deposit. It's really between UCLA and another school, and because I haven't had the time to visit UCLA, I need the extra 2 months. I also got a scholarship, and I want to make sure that by paying the deposit, I don't have to withdraw my other acceptances. If someone on here can please confirm I'd really appreciate it, everyone seems to have all the answers on TLS.

You are fine. I emailed them today, and they said it is ok to submit SIR to other schools, it won't have any impact on your admission or scholarship.StopLawying wrote:Guys, sorry for being an annoying jerk but I wanted to ask this again.

UCLA finally decided to give me a merit base scholarship a few days ago. And today, after tell me that I have also been awarded a $15K need base scholarship, they took $10K away from my merit base... I know that I should be happy getting 5K more, but it just doesn't feel right. Has this happen to any one?

Looks on LSN there was a wave of decisions today, and I caught it. WLhethebearded wrote:Has anyone gotten admit/WL/rejection notifications this week? I have a deadline next Monday and was hoping this would be a hot admissions week.

Maybe you all already know about this, but I just saw it just now on the UCLA Law Class of 2020 thread and I thought it was pretty cool:
Apparently UCLA Law School is getting a $20 Million gift to create an international human rights institute, and the money comes from a human rights-related Hollywood feature film about the Armenian genocide.
Here’s the link about it, in case anyone’s interested:

Questions for current 2L:
1) Are you happy at UCLA? Looking back on your decision process, would you have done it any differently? What would you say are the main differentiating factors between UCLA and other schools you were looking at?
2) What's been the best part of law school so far?
3) Are all your 1L exams open book?
