Good to see this thread starting off on the right foot...
While nothing is certain, it's hard to understand why you're shitting on a full ride at a T1 school AND a guaranteed biglaw job (even if it turns out to be only for 2 years). That's an opportunity I'm sure most people here would love to have.

Should we care about the opinions of the many or the good and the wise?

We should care about getting a job and minimizing debt.curry1 wrote:Mr. Loblaw,Bob loblaw law blog wrote:curry1 wrote:what, getting pushed out of skadden after 2-3 years of drudgery and then transitioning to shitlaw or a low-paid boring in-house job?RamTitan wrote:I'm def. applying for dat Rothman

And I sure as hell aren't putting you in the "good and wise category" seeing as you apparently came into this thread solely to be a jerk. That is neither good nor wise, Plato.

Rothman is a pretty good deal. Free tuition and guaranteed SA spot at skadden after 1l. That is a combined total of over 200,000 dollars.

I honestly don't really know anything about it either. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to the admissions office though, they are really great about answering questions. Sorry I can't be more help!playersball wrote:Do you know anything about the public interest scholars program? A friend who recently graduated from USC had never heard about it so it may be newer? Wait... can someone explain Rothman to me? Is it just a 1L SA, or guaranteed offer following graduation?

My understanding was that it was only a 1L SA. A guaranteed offer would be insaneSweetTort wrote:Wait... can someone explain Rothman to me? Is it just a 1L SA, or guaranteed offer following graduation?

Agreed. I'm applying, but I feel the same way about other schools and those $30 report fees do start to sneak up on you.SweetTort wrote:Still a cool ass program.
