I was thinking about submitting the form on Monday. Maybe I shouldn't even bother lol.

I say you should go for it! Worse they can do is say no. I didn't think they would give me more, but they did. Who knows, maybe you get lucky.

Does anyone know if USC(or schools in general) will consider scholarships in the form of in-state tuition for non-residents as applicable for negotiations? I got a really nice offer from a slightly higher ranked school that includes in-state tuition (savings of roughly 20k per year) and a 15k scholly. I want to leverage this to up my offer from USC (20k a year scholly). You think they'll bite?

When negotiating I state the different in costs of attendance, not the raw scholarship number (if they want that they can look at the scholarship letter I send as an attachment). So yes, they'll consider it. As for if they'll bite, it seems that most people (myself included) got a polite no. It doesn't hurt to try though.

For people traveling in for ASD.. weird question, but what are you doing with your bags?

My flight out of LA is on Monday night, and I'd rather not book a hotel for an additional day just to leave my stuff there. Is it a bad idea to just bring it to the admitted tour day? I'm only in LA for the weekend, so it's not like I'd have a big suitcase

might want to call admissions and ask if they have some sort of room to put your stuff in. its not uncommon for them to do so.

Hotels will normally hold stuff for you too, if the hotel is close by and that would be convenient for you.
