No. I have never heard of that at any law school either.

It used to be commonplace. It still happens, but it's very atypical. I've never had a professor at UF that made you do it. I don't think there is one who runs his/her class that way. However, there are definitely some professors who will grill you. On average, though, UF professors are pretty laid back and generally kind to students.

Accepted but disappointed with my scholarship offer.

FSU offers a full ride, UF only 65%. As a Gator undergrad I may not be spending any more time in Gainesville...
