It might just be that at this point in the cycle they've reached the max on how much total scholarship money they can offer.

They really are riding that 168. I was waitlisted with a 166, then got a 169 in Feb and got interviewed and given a 4/5ths scholly basically

Anyone know if Wash U would grant a seat deposit extension? It's a top choice but I anticipate waiting on scholarship offers from a few more schools into early April. Wash U's date is early and I'd love if they were the same as most other schools (April 15)

Re: WUSTL C/O 2020 (2016-2017) Applicants
So I got something like this:
"Thank you for completing an interview with our office. The Admissions Committee recognizes you are a very strong candidate for law school and is highly impressed with your application. This year, we received a record number of applications from outstanding candidates and the Admissions Committee is unable to make a decision on your application at this time. The committee expects to make additional offers of admission soon, but will not be able to do so until later in the cycle.
We know you have been waiting quite some time for a decision and we really appreciate your patience with our process. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any questions. "
Should I send in an LOCI? I've never heard of something like this before.

Got the same exact thing...also went and checked the status checker and there's nothing in the status area. Not sure if I should take it as an eventual WL or what but I'm kinda annoyed because I applied really early in the cycle.Jlyyep wrote:So I got something like this:

I got into Chicago off the WL and held at WUSTL today (got the same email as the previous posters). Crazy unexpected on both ends!

wow congrats on Chicago. Are you gonna def attend? They pull people off the waitlist there in mid-march though? That is a bit of a shock for the 4th best school in the nation.chargers21 wrote:I got into Chicago off the WL and held at WUSTL today (got the same email as the previous posters). Thanks! I am the only person on TLS to be pulled from the WL so far, and it was on a day of WL and dings. I had written them off almost entirely, but now I might end up going because even at sticker it might be a better deal than my current best optionbaseballfan660 wrote:wow congrats on Chicago. I know they're hating on the 167s at WUSTL this year, but with your GPA you should have been in. Strange world.

Re: WUSTL C/O 2020 (2016-2017) Applicants
I'm guessing they assumed they couldn't afford to pull me from my other potential options. I mean, they have access to myLSN too and could reasonably assume I'd get into some better schools, and with all of the cash they throw at 168s, I'd be too expensive for just helping out their GPA #s which they don't seem to care too much aboutjessmeesh wrote:chargers21 wrote:I got into Chicago off the WL and held at WUSTL today (got the same email as the previous posters). Wait listed today. Any idea if there is more than one type of wait list at Wash U?
