The Interview
The interview process is relatively new, and fairly straight-forward. You have the option to interview in person, over Skype, or over the phone. The interview is generally low-key and all of the adcomms are very friendly, and during the past application cycle, interviews are essentially an acceptance, with most applicants either getting an offer at the end of the interview or an allusion to such an offer. Here are a list of reported questions/topics that other students have fielded:

- If you are a splitter, be prepared to address the lower number.
- Why law school? Why WUSTL?
- Why did you choose your undergraduate institution?
- Why did you choose that major?
- Be prepared to discuss your personal statement and resume.
- Have you ever been to St. Louis?
- Have you ever lived outside of <your hometown>?
- How do you feel your second BA/master/professional degree compliments your first?
- What area of law interests you?

First time applying. Do you have to have all FAFSA information submitted in order to apply? Or can you simply select "yes" when asked if you will be applying for financial aid, then submit your application and address the FAFSA forms later?

You can apply prior to submitting FAFSA. Like you said just say you will be applying for fin. aid. FAFSA doesn't go live til October 1.
Thank you!

My interview was relaxed. Started off with tell me a little about yourself especially why the law NOW (I'm old and have a full on career I'm leaving after a decade and change, so that was something I knew would come up). Do I know what kind of law I'm interested in? Have I been to St. Louis/why WashU? Why did I go to undergrad where I did? I think that was most of it. I asked a few questions. It was pretty pleasant. Hopefully I hear good news. Seems like a cool place.

did you all apply right when the app opened? I waited until about 9/6. Also WashU is a bit of a stretch for me and I'm a splitter so I will probably have to wait awhile.

I applied on day one (I'm also a splitter, though).

I live in the Midwest, so Washu is a great choice for me; hoping they reward high LSAT scores with lots of money

Will WUSTL give a stipend to visit if you're above both 75ths?

Yes, WashU does give travel stipends.

eta: And welcome to all the new applicants. I'm a 3L here and happy to answer questions if I can.

Interview does not necessarily imply acceptance, nor is it an indicator. Countless people interviewed and were waitlisted then rejected.

Current WUSTL 2L who was accepted the first year they offered the ED/full scholarship option. I can answer general questions about ED, the application process, the school in general, and St. Louis.

Did the majority of 1Ls obtain their desired summer position? Was it difficult for you or anyone you know?

General questions: how is the school, the student body environment, professors?

Checking in...non-trad splitter. So, WUSTL will be in play along with Texas/Vandy/Emory/UCLA for a T20 street-fight in the event I get blanked at the T14. Not opposed to attending if they show me the money.
