Got hit with the WL email this morning. Sucks because Texas is my alma mater. Well, I can go to Columbia in peace now. Checking out!

I'm a Tex res too and got low balled hard with the initial offer and negotiation. My LSAT is low, but URMs from previous cycles with similar numbers or lower and same URM as me got a lot more money :?
I'm also a resident, and I was holding out hope that Texas would pull through for me because it seems like a great school! Unfortunately, now that I have my updated offer back, I'm also sorely disappointed and, yes, salty.

I'm reluctant to withdraw because I loved UT, but I'm also feeling burned by the initial and continued low-ball and don't think I can make this one work financially. Good luck to everyone else!

I agree. I do not think this is a good strategy to woo students.

+1000 I loved UT and think Austin is dope, but a lowball offer with a deadline of 5 business days is a no-go for me.

Driving me crazy that I haven't heard anything yet. I haven't been asked for a "Why Texas?" thing yet either, was that something I should have been asked for if I was seriously being considered?

Also still UR, from the looks of LSN there's a few of us. not sure if that's a good sign or not. Was hoping since Friday was the seat deposit we'd here back today after they got some withdrawals.

Womp :(

Fwiw, the wave of people accepted last monday have an extended deadline that is April 24th so they might be waiting for that

...still pending. I figured nothing would happen today, I read somewhere that the deadline Friday was a soft deadline and really they had until Sunday night. Which makes sense... I figure today and tomorrow they would be sorting through those.

Waitlisted as of this morning...which I'm actually excited about since it's better than a rejection!:) the email said I can add/submit more info to my application, so I'm gonna write one of those "Why Texas" statements. Anyone know how I would submit that though?

Yeah, I would save your letter as a PDF and send it as an email attachment. (or at least that's what I did...)

For some reason, I received a "welcome to the Texas Law Fb group" message this morning via email. And it says "please let us know if your name does not match your fb name." But it shows I am still under review. So I am accepted, or this is a mistake on their part?

I've heard a few people on here say they got those before they got the call. So that might be the case and you'll get the acceptance call soon. It seems the order of getting all the stuff can be weird- I didn't get those emails until about two weeks after I got in. That would be a super frustrating mistake on their part.
