This is crazy. No one with <3.7 GPA is admitted. Such a clear-cut of GPA line there. Tough school for splitters; but great news for reserve-splitters I guess?

Didn't someone say Cornell had a new (admissions) dean? So everything about this cycle with Cornell is unpredictable? Any ideas?
As I mentioned before in this thread, I was accepted yesterday with a mid 3.6 GPA and a 168 LSAT. I doubt they could maintain a 3.7 hard floor even if that's what was happening. I'm sure as this cycle progresses we will see more people with sub 3.7 GPAs getting in, like every other year. No idea what happened yesterday, though. I haven't reported anything on myLSN as I'm waiting to do everything lump sum once my full cycle is clear.
Thanks for the information. I am sorry if I implied that no one with <3.7 WILL be admitted.
Admittedly, 3.7 and even 3.6 is a very high GPA, not a splitter GPA at all. What I am trying to say is that Cornell does seem to have a clearer GPA bottom line than other schools, say Penn.
Hey, no worries! I think I was more responding to people earlier who were talking about a 3.7 GPA floor. Sorry to lump you in with all that! And yeah, you're definitely right regarding their GPA bottom line being higher.
Just wanted to point out that it's also still very early on in the cycle and that, while there seems to be a GPA bottom line NOW, it won't be a little later when they start pulling people off the WL! :D
Fair enough. Though I think similar observations were found from previous cycles too.
I don't have a pretty low GPA, and selfishly, I really want this trend to change as time progress.

I was UR as of 12/22/2016, and after updating them with my new LSAT on 1/4/2016, the date is changed to 1/4.
I am wondering if this is UR2 or just lsat update date.

I submitted mid-December.
Can anyone tell if how do I am know if I am UR2, please. Thank you!
I have no UR2 from any school so far, so pretty anxious about this.

Waitlist,

They call it 'reserve', but you have to send a LOCI within two weeks to stay on the list. - Just submitted mine

ah gotcha, I was under the impression that 'reserve' was another way of saying held. Guess I was waitlisted too then lol

Did you just get notified of acceptance, or is the scholarship coming after you already learned you were accepted? In any case, congratulations!
Thanks! I was notified of my acceptance in late December.

how long did they take to get back to you after you submitted everything? Planning on sending in the tax returns tonight. I was accepted in early November so I kind of wish I sent in those materials more quickly

pretty low...i think last year only a few people got off....but since it seems like there just rejecting everyone this cycle they will probably need to dip into the reserve list more this year

Anyone else not heard a peep from Cornell yet? I'm 75%<LSAT and GPA = median and my status checker has said "under review" since 11/14... No interview request, etc...
