Splitter stats. LSAT = 175, GPA barely over 25th.
Like, just now? Also, when'd your status checker change? Congrats! :D
Just now, and it changed today!

Did you get a voicemail?

Quick Q. Do they update from "ready to review" to under review?

Complete roughly a week ago ish but had a status change yesterday.

Yes.
In that case, I think you should let it go and celebrate! Id think it'd be an awkward call to call back and be like thank you, but that's just my opinion!

Congrats!

I'd say only call back if they asked you to call back.

Does Cornell have a waitlist and a reserve list or is it just reserved?

If I am not 100% on attending should I still join the group?

Did anyone write a thank you note in response to receiving their financial aid?

I did not. I vaguely remember the email saying that they would let us know who the benefactor of the scholarship is and we should thank them then.

What's rent like for most law students? Spoke to my cousin who said rent was super cheap when he went but that was over a decade ago.

If you don't want to climb the hill every day (and that's quite a hill), you'll pay $1000-$2000/mo depending on how many roommates you can tolerate, how many amenities you want, and how close you want to live to frats and undergrads. If you don't mind climbing the hill, or waiting for a bus to take you up the hill, you can find cheaper rent. The cheapest I've seen (with 1 or 2 roommates) that still looked decent was $700/mo per person, but these postings disappear just as quickly as they arrive. This is not taking into account utilities.

Affordability is subjective. I moved here from an area with an extremely high cost of living that was only getting higher, so these prices look standard to me. Someone coming from a place with a lower cost of living might experience some sticker shock.

PM me for details on my less than $700/mo rent.

I've been ready for review from 12/12. I know people have been waiting much longer but also there have been people who've received their decisions already with later dates. Does that mean Cornell doesn't view and decide on people in order? Or does that mean Cornell has seen our files but haven't made a decision yet/are looking at their numbers and waiting to make a decision based on numbers they need/can afford to accept?

Just got the call and I'm in!

Applied 11/27 and interviewed 12/21.

And I said in the interview that the movie that best parallels my life is Mean Girls. So there's that.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
