HLS actually said they do not want more letters in their waitlist FAQ. I think they would appreciate a LOCI or new resume if there is an update though.
Whaaaatttt? Come on HLS, give me a fighting chance! I haven't been waitlisted yet but am assuming I will be since the most we can hope for is one more JS2 wave next week. What's the consensus, yay or nay to updates at this point?

I'll say this - I sent a LOCI Monday and have yet to get a response. Someone earlier in this thread said it took 10 days for H to reply. At this rate, you should wait till April 1st before sending additional material (as in, only send material if you're WLd)

Nothing you say now is going to change whatever decision they've made on your file so, just wait it out maybe? Idk. My two cents.

Hell, I sent something just to update my contact info last week and I still haven't gotten a response. They're probably slammed.

Is it safe to assume that if you haven't been invited to interview by this point, that you are likely going to be WL or rejected? Also, does Harvard communicate interview/decision updates through the status checker?

(I apologize if these question have already been addressed, as I didn't want to sit and read through all 200+ pages of this thread).

No, I have a JS1 and my application is still on "complete". Once you have a JS2 they update it, I believe. They'll send you an email regarding a potential JS1, but at this point I would expect that they are done with interviews. If you are waitlisted you might be invited for a JS1 however.

+1. It just seems so mean to hold us this long to ding us. How very Stanford of them.

Perhaps Wednesday, since the last two JS2 waves were on Wednesdays.

Speaking of which, I think we have a topic for a new poll.

Anyone have info on how quickly aid info comes? Also do most admits turn down serious money at T14s? I've been reading a lot of past threads on H/S vs Ruby/Darrow/Hamilton etc. and the majority of people seem to advise for the $.

Most H admits do not receive a full, named scholarship. Although TLS pretty unanimously advises the opposite, a strong majority of full scholarship recipients on LawSchoolNumbers choose H (or Y/S) over the money.
+1. Not commenting on whether it's a good idea, but the fact is a lot (perhaps majority?) of HYS students are in a position to pay sticker without taking out loans.

I'm certain that JS2 wave will be on Wednesday, leaving thurs and Friday for the WL/ding waves.

+1 Last year it was the 28th I believe, but between things being slower this year and all waves thus far being Wednesdays, the 29th is the most likely day.

Best wishes to all of us unselected JS1s who still want a shot at HLS. May the Waitlist God be with you!

Harvard says that about 42% of JDs qualify for grants, which leaves 58% left. Of that 58% I'm sure it's a mix of people who are just above the grant cutoff but couldn't afford sticker without loans, people who have substantial assets but not enough liquid cash to pay sticker, people whose parents could pay sticker for them but won't (meaning the student would need to take loans), and people who can pay sticker and do.

The number of people who actually have access to enough money to pay sticker without taking loans is probably quite high, but I doubt it's anywhere near a majority.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
