I'm not sure. I was being hyperbolic to show my commitment. I've only heard of people getting off WL by orientation day at the latest, but I could be wrong on this.baseballfan660 wrote:you can get off a waitlist right before finals start ?calpolisci2016 wrote:Waitlisted (JS1 in late Jan). I'm so surprised because I thought when I got the email just now, it'd be part of the rejection wave.
I shouldn't even be here with my numbers, and I'm gonna be happy to ride this until the day before finals week of the first semester. LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That makes sense. Columbia starts way earlier than Harvard.VapidP wrote:I know someone who got in the day before classes startedcalpolisci2016 wrote:I'm not sure. Any other JS1s yet to receive a decision? Really confused as to what's going on.

Maybe they are seeing how many people withdrew from the waitlisted? Or maybe there are a handful more calls to be made!curry1 wrote:Any other JS1s yet to receive a decision? Really confused as to what's going on.

JS1 end of January, waitlisted last night via email to check status checker around 7:15PM -- after I thought I was in the clear. Happy I'm on the waitlist but Harvard is definitely my first choice so still a little disappointed. Stats are both between 25% and median. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear and everyone on the waitlist. Congrats to those accepted, you earned it!

I am another JSNone who got waitlisted last night! Checking in. Waitlisted yesterday. JSNone.
JS's are required for admission, yes? Anyone know when waitlisters start getting JS requests?
