Checking in. I like that NW is pretty vocal about giving people with work experience a bump.

From their site:
http://www.law.northwestern.edu/admissions/ wrote:Because work experience is such an important factor in our admissions process, no other top law school can match the extensive real world perspectives that our students bring to the classroom: 90 percent of our entering students have had one or more years of full-time work experience, more than 70 percent have had at least two years, and approximately 50 percent have worked three or more years before entering Northwestern Law.
90% have at least one year while 70% have at least two years. I think just one year is fine.

However, my question is as of what date? I will have two and half years at matriculation, but applying, I have one and a half.
I think by the time you enroll is what matters, since those who apply the fall after graduating don't count as KJD.

Checking in.

I'm a little anxious about the interview process because of my current location. I highly doubt there will be anyone near by and the last thing I want is spotty internet when I'm trying to record my online interview. Internet here is never quite good enough for skype, so that worries me.

No solutions here, just empathy. I'm in Haiti right now and I can guarantee anything beyond emails WILL bog to point of failure.

As I see it, that's future Meerkat problems, but I'll let you know if I come up with a solution. Might try to catch a weekend flight into Miami and use a hotel's Wifi to knock it out. I imagine if you communicate with the adcomms about your circumstances they will be a least slightly accommodating. (Or, maybe not, I dunno.)

I would hate to bother them with this.
I am planning a trip back home for the holidays, but that's a lot later than I would want to submit the interview.

How long is the flight to Miami?

But wouldn't that mean just about 30% have exactly 1 year (cause the 90% that have at least 1 would include the 70% that have at least 2) and 30% isn't the best odds. I will have 1 year full time by enrolment but 3+ years if you count part-time. Does that help me out a little or no?

Question about this: are people who don't get interviews less likely to be admitted as opposed to someone who does?
