I would think that would mean more generosity. I just want to temper my own expectations so I'm not disappointed if that's not the case for me. But, as someone mentioned above, their scholarship amounts for people with the same stats have historically been all over the place. I think that means they look closely into our essays and what added value we would be bring to the class...
its crazy how big the swing is. I could get anything from nothing to 2/3rds tuition seemingly. I have no idea where this is going to fall and I have like a week to decide!

when they're deciding on money, does anyone know if they re-evaluate your PS as well?

Considering my PS basically reads as "Help me I'm poor" then I'm really hoping so

while y'all are waiting on scholarship info... i'm still waiting on an admissions decision :(

i went complete very early november, and my complete date changed to 2/21 in february. i sent an email asking if anything was wrong w/ my app before then and it was confirmed that everything was in order. is my only choice at this point to be patient, or does it make sense to send a LOCI?

Also, I submitted an LOCI yesterday morning and they never replied to say it's added to my file, etc. Is this standard? LASTLY, are there different types of WLs this year? THANKS :D
April 21 is the deposit deadline.

Idk the answer to the other questions.
I sent a LOCI after being held from ED. They just sent me an automatic reply. I called a week later to be sure it was added to my file.
Okay, thank you both!

Super happy to have received my acceptance to northwestern last week. I checked my email once a day while I was abroad and *almost* died when I saw the 3 from northwestern.

their scholarship survey thing is kinda interesting. Not sure how good quality 500 words (more!) of "help me I'm poor but I want to go to law school" can be weighed in their decision making.

Congratulations to everyone who's made it in so far. Can't wait to meet you at ASW :)

I absolutely think it's appropriate to send a LOCI at this stage of the game. The squeaky wheels get the oil!

Edit: Obviously don't be a nuisance...you don't want to be replaced for a less distressed wheel (still going with the metaphor lmao). But seriously go for it! It's end of March so if you really want to go, write a great LOCI. It can't hurt.

I'm going to say you shouldn't. Those are meant for waitlists, and if you write one now, it shows your impatience. I'd shoot them an email or phone call asking what the normal time to hear back from them. They're not rolling admissions so the bulk of their decisions are essentially done.

I can understand your approach. I sent LOCI's to schools I had not heard back from in a long time. It worked favorably for me in the case of BU and Georgetown. It just depends on what you're comfortable doing. I feel if you submitted your app in early November and still haven't heard anything by late March, maybe it's a good point to reinforce interest if it's a top choice. I mean, that's a huge stretch of time.

One time, I was worried I would get an admission decision from Northwestern, but thankfully, instead, I got an email about a live chat with the dean

Then there was this other time that I was worried I would get an email about scholly money...

Hope it is. But the last time there was a big group waiting on decisions and they announced a chat, the decisions came shortly after the chat.
