Not for me! I'm assuming there won't be anything until MayMadamSecretary wrote:Any movement from waitlist people?
I sent in another LOCI (3rd one) yesterday, and an updated resume, I am assuming its just a waiting game for the next few weeks?
Admission is probably a long shot with my LSAT but I'm holding out hope!

Honestly, if you've deposited, there's little to no incentive to reconsider your scholarship/financial aid package. Looks like NU was stingy (at least with TLSers) this cycle.thatlawlkid wrote:Still no response on my renegotiation...

This is something I wondered, because you can still not attend the school, despite the deposit. I think they do have some incentive to try and officially lock you down, till you matriculate, because deposits are not hard matriculation (I COULD BE WRONG). Thoughts?

Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Many schools have a non-binding first deposit and a binding second deposit, so you are considered "locked down" after the 2nd deadline but not the 1st, for example.btruj777 wrote:RedPurpleBlue wrote:Honestly, if you've deposited, there's little to no incentive to reconsider your scholarship/financial aid package. Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I think you're right. I've heard of some people even getting off the WL at other schools and successfully requesting their deposits back. If you definitely got off the WL of some school you really wanted to go to, you could definitely jump ship. Plus, even if it were binding after your second deposit, the school that admits you is going to understand that you had to due to deadlines, and NU isn't going to waste the time to sue your ass. They've got bigger fish to fry.btruj777 wrote:RedPurpleBlue wrote:Honestly, if you've deposited, there's little to no incentive to reconsider your scholarship/financial aid package. (I think) 4/14 if you got a scholarship, 4/21 if you didn't. $750 either wayblelwoods wrote:When is the first seat deposit due and how much?

Why does Northwestern release decisions so late? I didn't even apply here, but I just looked back through old cycles on LSN and am astoundedgoldenbear2020 wrote:Week 12, changed complete date on 3/31...xandra_v wrote:Week 11, changed complete date on 3/28, and deposit deadline Friday. Hmm...

still waiting for the decision, is the law school deciding how many additional offers to make based on the situation of deposit which is due on 4/21?

Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
My best guess: We'll potentially see another ding/waitlist wave this week (they may hold off on one)and then next week there's a chance of an admittance wave depending on number of acceptances/declines. Next week will likely hold a large waitlist/ding wave mainly because people that were on the bubble for one way or another will be decided on based upon how Friday goes.ml0606148 wrote:still waiting for the decision, is the law school deciding how many additional offers to make based on the situation of deposit which is due on 4/21?

Check to see if there is a tuition deposit amount under fees. That's an indicator usually!xandra_v wrote:I have a decision letter available w/in 24h...refreshing like crazy
